A Summer of Updates π
A new sky, smarter Tarot, and AI that's finally under your control

Hi, I'm Yauheni β I build MoonX together with a small team. We haven't written an update post in a while, and a lot has shipped over the summer. Here's a summary β including a couple of fixes worth explaining.
We fixed the AI switch
MoonX had one master switch that turned all AI features on or off at once. We noticed people flipping it by accident and then wondering where Tarot and their Astrology Reports went β so we redesigned it.
The master switch is gone. Every AI feature now has its own toggle with a short explanation of what it does, right where the feature lives β look for the small gear icon. Nothing turns off by accident anymore.
Choose who powers your AI
You can now choose which AI provider generates your readings β OpenAI or Anthropic. The models write differently, so try both and keep the one you prefer. The choice is in the AI feature settings.
Tarot: fixes and improvements
-
Spreads are now visible to everyone. If your AI features are off, you'll see a note explaining how to turn them on instead of an empty screen.
-
A failed reading is no longer lost. If the interpretation doesn't generate, you can retry on the spot β or later, from your journal.
-
Drawing and revealing cards now comes with haptic feedback.
-
Reversed cards can be turned off in Tarot settings.
Your Astrology Reports stay yours
Reports you've purchased now live in My Reports and stay available even if you switch AI features off entirely.
A whole new sky
Behind the Moon on the main screen there's now a real 3D sky: zodiac constellations where they actually are, the Milky Way, and live planet positions. Pick a preset or fine-tune every layer yourself. The sky also shifts slightly as you move your phone.
See MoonX around the world
A new community map shows MoonX members around the world β you can see how many people are watching the same Moon right now.
The practical layer
-
Weather: a 7-day forecast with an hourly timeline and sunrise/sunset marks.
-
Sun & Moon table: every day's rise and set times at a glance.
-
Full & New Moon card: upcoming lunar events, right on the main screen.
-
Moon Compass: scroll through time, check astronomy details, and follow the Moon's altitude chart.
Make the main screen yours
Reorder the blocks on your home feed, or hide the ones you don't use.
Birth chart, deeper
The natal wheel now supports the 13th sign, Ophiuchus, and every sign and house is tappable. And if you want your chart on paper, you can now order a printable version with tokens.
Small things that matter
-
Moon phase names: choose astronomical or astrological naming across the app.
-
Lunascope aspects: count them by sign or by exact degree β your choice, in the Aspects settings.
-
Review prompts: we'll ask for a rating at most once every six months.
That's the summer. If something feels off β or works well β tell us. We read everything, and a lot of what's above started as someone's feedback.
