Aphrodite Bath, Reset, and Glamour Magic
A moment of self-care and self-love
Article · 2 min read · ·
A few days ago, I caught myself crying in the bathtub. Nothing bad had happened, and I wasn’t feeling down—I simply needed to fill the tub, add some bubbles, and relax. In that moment, my body seemed to know all on its own that it needed a reset, a pause, a moment of self-care. It decided to release all the tension from the week in the form of tears.
So, after that relaxing bath—which I hadn’t realized I needed so much—I decided to write this for you and connect it with glamour magic.
First of all, I personally see glamour magic as the kind of magic we use to give ourselves a boost of empowerment, strength, confidence, and self-esteem—things we all need sometimes. I’ve talked many times about cleansing and caring for our surroundings, and about smoke rituals, but I rarely stop to think that I’m the one who needs those cleanses and resets the most.
Glamour magic is perfect to practice every Friday, when the Moon may be in a zodiac sign associated with Venus, such as Taurus or Libra, since Venus traditionally rules those two signs—or simply whenever you feel like it. So, I’m sharing a spell called the Aphrodite Bath to help us care for ourselves, pamper ourselves, and give ourselves a unique experience.
We’ll need:
1/2 cup plant-based milk. If you don’t want to use milk, you can use natural oat soap
Ground cinnamon (a few teaspoons)
Chamomile, either as a tea or as flowers
Rose oil
Lavender oil
Rose petals
Lavender petals
A little salt
⚠️Essential oil should be diluted in water. Use only 2–3 drops of each, and only if you don’t have an allergic reaction and haven’t had any kind of reaction to an oil before.⚠️
First, fill the tub with water at your preferred temperature, then add the milk or oat soap, cinnamon, and the rest of the ingredients. Once everything is mixed in, get into the tub and practice conscious breathing, imagining your body absorbing the strength and beauty you deserve. If you like, you can do a short guided meditation to relax, but be careful not to fall asleep 😅. You can also put on soft music, read, or do a little written manifestation exercise about everything you want to attract with this empowering bath.
When you feel it’s time, you can end the bath, rinse off with plain water, and relax and rest.
I hope you like it and enjoy it.
If you have other ways of taking an Aphrodite bath, you can share them in the comments.
