The Trigger of Embarrassment
Let's tap into the Ego and how we can release the control it desires.

Let it be known that embracing your triggers is actually a powerful move towards self-development.
The ego - it's responsible for your experience of embarrassment, however, **you **have the power to choose to react differently.
Let's just say something happened, something embarrassing, that made you crawl in your skin. Your reaction can be multiple ways; you may react in anger, you may react nonchalantly, you may even deflect the experience. The more that you master your reactions to embarrassment and actually embrace being cringe, the freer you become.
Earlier this year I completed an Akashic Record course and one thing we learnt was when dealing with the ego, if you want to differentiate it stronger in your life - you can give it a name. Your ego can be a different gender too.
Let's just say in this case, we have Brian, and his ego is named Sally. Sally got embarrassed because it was Brian's first day at a new job and he wasn't shown all the ropes before being left on his own. A customer at the store wanted to buy something and had questions about a product Brian had no idea about, and the product wasn't even entered in the system. Sally freaked out - _this is so embarrassing! _
The truth is, it wasn't the fault of Brian, he wasn't shown where everything was and he hadn't received proper training, yet Sally (his ego) was internally throwing punches at him.
In this moment, Brian can pause, notice that Sally is in the forefront of his energy field, and say to her, 'Thanks Ego, but I got this'.
In that moment, Brian is acknowledging the ego, he's thanking the ego, but he's saying, 'I got this'. Brian can take it from here. He doesn't need to dwell on embarrassment, it doesn't serve him or his purpose in any way, and it's not beneficial for his work either.
This is a growing practice and can be something to learn. And when we consider the experience of going through an embarrassment with the ego - this is a trigger that's created. That creation is there to stir something up within you and reflect internal and emotional growth.
A short ritual of release:
Start by finding a quiet and private moment or space.
Take a deep breath in over 5 seconds, hold it for 7 seconds, and then release over 5 seconds. Repeat this breathing two more times.
Whisper aloud, 'I release the ego controlling over me, I am friends with my ego, I acknowledge my ego, and I no longer allow the ego to take over'.
Take another deep breath over 5 seconds, hold for 7, and release for 5.
Finish the ritual by whispering, 'And so it is. Thank you'.
Tell me, has something embarrassing happened recently, or in the past, that your ego sometimes pulls you back into remembering? I want you to hold space for that moment.
Feel free to write your ego releases in the comments below, or simply share something you've considered embarrassing that your ego has taken you back to - we can all hold space for each other, and perhaps laugh with each other too!
