Dream Magic

Sleep is the only time when we are absolutely free and let our thoughts do what they really want. As we unravel the mysteries of dreams, we tend to better understand our relationships with current events.

Dreams can tell us more about us than our mind and consciousness. It is important to be able to understand and analyze what we see in a dream. What is more, working with dreams alleviates negative experiences and emotions, reduces stress and brings pleasure and joy to life.

Essence of magic

Understanding dreams is key to the secrets of our subconscious mind. Working with dreams amounts to recording your dreams in a special diary and subsequent analysis of the experiences you have in your dreams.

In order to remember your dreams better, we recommend practicing every night: before going to sleep, sit back and get comfortable. Relax and close your eyes. Recall all the events that occurred during the day, in reverse order. If you happen to miss an important development, it is better to start over.

Do not get up right after you wake up, take some time, lie down with your eyes closed for a while and embrace your sensations and images in your head. At first the dreams will be forgotten, which is normal, but each time it will be easier to recover your memory.

Enchanting

Enchanting — step 1

Interpret events that occur in a dream as follows:

✶ Write down the essence of your dream. Try to do it in as much detail as possible — even those elements that seem insignificant can become the most meaningful pieces for interpretation. Divide the story of your dream into parts.

✶ Think about which desires of the current moment can be associated with the events you experienced in your dream. At this point, it is important to be honest with yourself: do not be afraid to acknowledge your true desires, whatever their essence. Remember that our unfinished business, fears, and conflicts are all moved into the unconscious.

✶ Resort to free association — ask yourself questions about the characters, locations and storylines of the dream and write down everything that comes to your mind — as a rule, the first associations contain information that is important for further interpretation.

✶ Describe the feelings that come to you in your dreams — pay special attention to those cases where your emotions do not correspond to the storyline of the dream. It is in such cases that dreams indicate the peculiarities of our current state.

✶ Analyze the material in general and interpret the outcomes — try to connect all the guesses you have written down. Proceed from the premise that the entire story of your dream is permeated by a common theme. Indeed, it is not easy at all, but it will become easier each time you unravel your dreams.

Useful Tips

✶ For a sound sleep, hang a dreamcatcher above your bed — an amulet that protects you from nightmares and wards off insomnia. You can make it on your own by charging it with your energy.

✶ If you are interested in having your subconscious mind answer a specific question, release your thoughts and narrow their focus before you go to bed. Immerse yourself in meditation and focus on your question. Open your eyes, take a deep breath and then exhale. You will most definitely have a vivid dream, and you will be able to find the answer to your original question in the images that you will enjoy.

✶ If you happen to find yourself in the same situation over and over again in your dreams, try to “finalize” the dream right after you wake up. Think about its symbolism, and try to replay and complete the dialogues of the dream.

✶ If you are haunted by nightmares, pay attention to your health — it is believed that nightmares are a way for your brain to warn about a disease or emotional stress. Before going to bed, repeat the following: “It is just a dream; wake up and everything will be over, everything will be fine again.

✶ If you tend to fight in your dream, it means that some sides of your personality are in conflict.

I was always told to place a bar of soap under my mattress to cure sleep troubles - nightmares, restlessness, insomnia. Glad the crystals worked in your case!

Word that’s something I would do put my crystal under my pillow. I want to try putting some of my mineral rocks and stones on my pillow and see what it does. Thanks for sharing that.

I had to stop smoking marijuana in order to remember my dreams. I’d been told many times this is the case , I can confirm it’s so! Not sure if I was dreaming while using the drug and just couldn’t remember or whether the drug stops our dreams?

This has been on my mind! My experience is the same. I think we just can't remember what we dream because I learned that humans dream around 4 times a night.

…same. I’m a daily smoker for past 25+ yrs. I always have crazy dreams and can remember just bits and pieces. When I quit a couple years ago for 30+ days I could remember my dreams so vividly. Other night I had a dream I captured a small bird in my hands

With the smokers, let the last smoke be at least by sunset time, not afterward. Give the body enough time to readjust to your natural setting before sleeping. Also, moderation is key. There's no need to go cold turkey.

Thank you. The act of writing changed how I perceived different aspects of the dream. I can see how valuable an exercise like this will be for developing myself.
