Scorpio season is the heart of the quarter Libra season opened. It starts when the Sun reaches 0° Scorpio, around October 22–23, and runs until the Sun enters Sagittarius around November 21–22 — the depth of autumn in the Northern Hemisphere and of spring in the Southern.
It holds the cross-quarter day between the September equinox and the December solstice — the old Celtic festival of Samhain, which Halloween grew out of. The astronomical midpoint falls in early November, with the Sun near 15° Scorpio. As a fixed sign, Scorpio is a season of intensity rather than change.

Why does the date change every year?
Because it is tied to the Sun's exact position, not the calendar. Earth's orbit isn't a whole number of days, so the moment the Sun reaches 0° Scorpio drifts about six hours later each year, then jumps back roughly a day when a leap year adds February 29. That's why Scorpio season doesn't start on the same date every year.
Is Halloween in Scorpio season?
