Taurus Season

Taurus season is the heart of the quarter Aries season opened. It begins about a month after the March equinox, when the Sun reaches 0° Taurus, and runs until the Sun enters Gemini around May 20–21 — the middle stretch of spring in the Northern Hemisphere and of autumn in the Southern.

Halfway through it, with the Sun near 15° Taurus in early May, falls one of the old cross-quarter days — the midpoint between the equinox and the June solstice that many traditions mark as Beltane, or May Day. Astrologers count Taurus among the fixed signs, the seasons where a quarter of the year settles into itself: less about starting, more about keeping going.

For about thirty days from late April the Sun travels through the second thirty degrees of the zodiac — the sign of Taurus, ruled by Venus. It's the shared backdrop of the month for everyone, not only Taurus birthdays. Taurus is an earth sign associated with the body, comfort, money and the things we value enough to tend slowly.

In plain terms, it's the month for making a start real: watering what you planted in Aries season, building routines that hold, and enjoying the material, physical side of life without apology.

Steadiness comes more easily than speed this month. It's a good time to finish setting things up, look after your body and your money, and give your attention to one thing at a time. What's harder is change for its own sake — you may find yourself digging in, or resisting a plan just because it's new. None of that is a rule. If something needs time to grow, Taurus season is a fair moment to commit to it and let it take the time it needs.
