Today

Stillness……

Stillness……

You’re Right on TIme

There’s a rhythm beneath our calendar that most of us forget.

A quieter truth that existed long before the clock struck “January 1.”

The earth does not begin her new year in the cold.

She begins it in the thaw.

In the first green whisper of Spring.

In April — when life remembers how to rise.

So this moment we’re in right now?

This isn’t the “start.”

This is the wintering.

The sacred pause.

The deep inhale before creation breathes again.

And somehow, that takes the pressure off, doesn’t it?

We’re not required to reinvent ourselves overnight.

We’re not expected to burst into brilliance while the world is covered in frost.

This is simply the season of listening.

Of turning inward.

Of letting everything unnecessary fall away without resistance.

Winter teaches us a truth many of us avoid:

Some things are meant to die so the soul can live.

Not in a dramatic way —

but in the gentle, inevitable way old leaves release their grip when they’ve given all they had.

In the quiet weeks between Yule and the turning of the year, we’re invited into a different kind of reflection —

not judgment, not self-critique, not resolutions scrawled in urgency —

but honest remembering.

Remember who you became this year.

Remember what stretched, what broke open, what softened.

Remember the prayers you whispered when no one could hear.

Remember the moments God held you so subtly you almost missed it.

Remember the way love kept finding you, even when you were certain you weren’t worth the trouble.

And remember this most of all:

The soul grows in winter.

The roots deepen when the branches seem barren.

The unseen is never empty.

This is the season of long nights and quiet faith.

The kind that isn’t shouted or posted or polished —

it’s carried in the chest like a small flame cupped between trembling hands.

We walk through this time with the companions that matter most:

Hope.

Love.

The faint but steady hum of God’s presence in the stillness.

Not the loud God of thunder and miracle…

but the God who slips into the empty spaces

and teaches your heart that nothing is wasted.

Not even the ache.

Not even the unanswered questions.

Not even the version of you who wasn’t ready until now.

As the year closes, we don’t rush toward the “new.”

We honor the holy in-between.

We honor the truth that rebirth has its own timing —

and that timing is Spring.

April will come with its own activation,

its own rising,

its own call to begin again.

But right now?

We are meant to rest.

To reflect.

To tend the embers of who we are becoming.

To let love — real love — be the warmth that carries us through the coldest nights.

This is the season of candles in windows, of whispered prayers, of quiet generosity.

A season where God feels a little nearer,

not because the world is brighter,

but because our hearts are softer in the dark.

So as you step across the threshold of another year, remember:

You do not have to bloom yet.

You do not have to know what’s next.

You do not have to run.

Just stay present.

Stay open.

Stay willing to love and be loved.

Let winter do what winter does —

teach you how to trust the unseen,

how to rest without guilt,

and how to believe in a God who writes resurrection into every story,

even when the chapter feels cold.

Spring will come.

Your new year will arrive with it.

But for now,

breathe.

Listen.

Let your soul settle into the mystery.

This season is not an ending.

It is a becoming.

And you are right on time.

Muy hermoso artículo. Solo quería comentar que no todo el mundo está invernando, solo el emisferio norte. En el sur estamos en pleno verano. Digo, es bello y no quiero decir nada más que esa corrección, no todo el mundo es en escarcha.

Hi Maria - glad you got the warm!!!! Thanks for reading and the message stays the same no matter where you are, so when you do have those grey rainy days or your soul just needs a break, remember - not everything needs to move, some moments are just mean to be still….wishing you a blessed and abundant 2026!

Muchas gracias Elaine por la respuesta y por esa respuesta. Si bien el calor es apertura, es salir, es conectar, muchas veces ese calor es agobiante y simplemente hay que quedarse quieta. Feliz 2026

After all, We are human BEings — and it is ok to just BE, whatever the season and whenever the stillness strikes us. 🌀💠🌀

Thank you for this concept and the wisdom of radical acceptance and effortless mastery in current affairs I surrender to God’s Plan for me and I know things will work out for my highest good for my soul development. I am at peace and nothing else matters because I always go with my heart and they couldn’t be much more from the heart the toxic people trying to destroy me. I know karma is my boyfriend karma is God and I keep my side of the street clean. ❤️🙏🏻👼🪧💕

Morning Eva - You are given the keys to the Kingdom, the ability to choose. Winter is the season for reflection, letting go and setting your soul toward the promise of Spring. God is the master of stillness, we do well by paying attention, as it seems you’re learning……let go of things that will not be able to go with you into the next season of your life, bring in the beauty and make the best of the time - the 60 seconds before you is life - the rest, static - go make something beautiful - now! Blessings for 2026!

Ah, so that’s why new years “resolutions” don’t work, it’s trying to make things grow during a time nothing grows. You don’t plant your corn in the dead of winter lol
