Leaving work I looked up and my jaw dropped. This is a parking lot shot I snapped on iPhone. ! I love how the leaves on the tree below are lit because all the different light sourcing is doing something spectacular here. The moon itself is cool, almost silver-white, and it’s illuminating that ragged opening in the clouds. Then we’ve got that warm artificial light hitting the leaves from the parking lot lights below. So the photograph essentially has two competing light sources: cold celestial light above, amber earthly light below. That warm/cool contrast created quite a cinematic moment leaving a very uncinematic work shift.
