You’re a Miracle with a Nervous System

(Try Telling That to Your To-Do List and Calendar)

Let’s talk about the pressure to optimize your entire existence like your soul is some corporate intern on a performance plan.

Here’s the truth: Your soul wasn’t sent here to hustle harder, check more boxes, or finally become "good enough" by Tuesday at 3:00 p.m.

Your soul is nothing like a productivity tool, or a spreadsheet, and it definitely doesn’t give a cosmic crap about how many unread emails you cleared this morning. We live in a world that rewards doing over being. Where rest feels like failure and slowing down looks highly suspicious. But deep down, you know something’s off. You’re exhausted because you’ve been treating sacred alignment like it’s a job title you have to earn.

You don’t need another planner, meditation app or certification that you ghosted half way through because it wasn’t what you thought it would be.

You need a pause.

A reset.

A ritual.

A soul-sourced reminder that you already are what you’ve been trying to become, so here is one of my faves that puts your mind and spirit right while re-wiring your doom scrolling.

This Week’s Ritual: Unsubscribe from Hustle

This is your spiritual permission slip to slow the hell down—and mean it.

You’ll need:

  • 5 quiet minutes

  • A place to sit (bonus if it’s outside)

  • Your full presence (no multitasking, you know what I mean!)

Do this:

  1. Sit. Breathe. Place your hand on your heart.

  2. Say aloud: “I am a miracle. I release the grind. I choose presence. I remember who I am.”

  3. Imagine the pressure melting off you—like your inbox and to-do list are floating away on a tiny flaming canoe.

  4. Stay here one moment longer than you think you should. That’s where the shift happens.

  5. Before you get up, whisper a quiet “thank you” to God and Spirit—for this breath, this moment, and the remembering.

🌀 Reminder 🌀

You don’t have to earn your worth.

You don’t have to do more to be more.

You get to exist—fully, freely, and gloriously unoptimized.

And honestly? That version of you is exactly what the world needs right now.

Use this ritual and read this as many times as you need to to start reminding yourself that YOU are exactly where you need to be, right at this moment to - rise, as high as you can imagine, the secret is…just start, we’ll work on the rest as we go, together!

Thank you very much indeed for writing and sharing this! So true! We should all learn to be more at rest, not to take action at once, but breathe and let the feeling pass. 🥰🙏✨💫✨

Morning Anne - it’s always easy to think about doing - the magic starts when you actually remember to “be” - carry on! :0)

I don't fit into this world. I don't function like other people. I despise that a person's worth is determined by the balance of their bank accounts, the value equating to something that doesn't exist in the natural world.

Well, your expressed despise won't do you much good, darling, you have to focus on what you appreciate then. And how many places have you tried to conclude that you don't fit here?

I feel your pain. Can't be positive all the time. It's hard to live egodystonic.

Morning Sherri - great news!!! Why? Because we’re not supposed to “fit” in this world, we’re meant to help change it! You’re in the beginning of The Remembering of the Soul - the truth is we’ve been programmed to believe that wealth (as in your mention of the bank balance) is the badge of “worth” - when your soul is screaming otherwise, because it knows. I’d encourage you to start the journey of unlearning that programming and that starts with recognizing how your story can help change that narrative. Well done!

So refreshing to read such a different point of view- in the world full of just do it-mentality. Thank you for spreading peace 💓

Thank you, Elaine, for writing and sharing on such an important topic and one I have been very passionate about for a LONG TIME! Have you read a book called Do Nothing: how to break away from overworking, overdoing, and underliving BY Celeste Headlee? https://celesteheadlee.com/do-nothing-book/
