The Chakra Shift

For decades, the seven-chakra system has been the cornerstone of spiritual and energetic understanding in the West. It offered a bridge between the physical body and the unseen realms, giving language to our emotions, traumas, instincts, creativity, voice, intuition and connection to spirit.

This system has been invaluable.

Through it, many of us learned to heal, regulate our nervous systems, understand emotional wounding and bring spirituality into embodied, everyday life. Entire healing modalities and soul-led businesses were built upon this framework and rightly so. The seven chakras helped humanity stabilise during a period of dense, third-dimensional learning.

But consciousness does not stand still.

As collective awareness shifts, so too does our relationship with the energy body. What we are witnessing now is not the abandonment of the seven chakras, but their natural evolution into a more expansive system of awareness: the 12-chakra system and beyond.

From 3D Healing to 5D Embodiment

The seven-chakra system primarily supports healing within 3D consciousness, a realm where polarity, separation, identity and survival are dominant themes. Healing in this field often focuses on resolving wounds, clearing blocks, and restoring balance within the personal self.

As we move into 5D consciousness, the focus subtly but profoundly changes.

Healing becomes less about “fixing” and more about remembering.

The expanded chakra system includes transpersonal and multidimensional energy centres that extend above and below the physical body. These chakras are not confined to personal history alone, they hold soul memory, ancestral and collective imprints, higher self awareness and our capacity to anchor divine frequency into the Earth plane.

This is where healing becomes quantum, frequency-based and embodied rather than effort-driven.

It is foundational.

Much like learning to walk before learning to dance, the seven chakras provide the grounding necessary for safe spiritual expansion. However, many practitioners now feel that these frameworks no longer fully hold the depth, subtlety, or multidimensionality of their lived experience.

This is not because something is missing but because something is emerging.

The 5D system does not replace the seven chakras.

It includes them and expands beyond them.

As consciousness evolves, so does the practitioner.
