Meeting God at the Threshold

Walk or Wings - The Everyday Dilemma
This isn’t about big life blow-ups (most of the time) or dramatic turning points, unless you’re making a u-turn.
This is about everyday moments. The small decisions that stack. The conversations you choose to have—or not. The way you respond instead of react.
The choice to move, pause, speak, scream, break something or wait. Thresholds aren’t rare. They’re constant.
The Problem: Most of us cross thresholds on autopilot.
We’re busy, so busy. We’re emotional. We’re juggling responsibility, kids, work, friends, mental stability.
So decisions get made quickly— without self-checking the personal space we’re currently in or the information we’re using.
Same choice. Different energy. Different result.
What’s Actually Happening: God isn’t waiting for some big spiritual moment to say hi. God is present in each decision point, like the guy at Costco with the free samples on a Saturday.
Not asking you:
- “What are you trying to manifest today?
- “Did you memorize that affirmation this week?
- “What’s your long-term plan, or do you even have a plan?
Just one question needs to be answered: “What is your trust level right now?”
The Trust Spectrum (Moment-to-Moment)
We move through thresholds at one of these levels:
Level 1: “I’m handling this myself. I got this” - Efficient. Controlled. Heavy.
Level 2: “I’ll take the step and hope it works. I should have a back-up plan.” - Open—but braced.
Level 3: “I’ll take the step trusting I’ll be supported. Crossing my fingers again, and lighting a candle.” - Calm without proof.
Level 4: “I’ll take the step trusting I’ll be guided as I go. Here goes.” - Present. Responsive. Steady.
None of these are moral grades. They’re simply states.
Why This Matters: The outcome of a decision isn’t just about the decision.
It’s about:
- the information you’re using
- the emotional state you’re in
- the level of trust you’re operating from
When trust is low, everything feels heavier. When trust is steady, choices simplify.
Same situation. Different nervous system. Different experience.
How to Practice Trust (Without Overthinking It)
This isn’t about slowing life down. It’s about staying aligned inside it.
1. Notice the threshold - what’s on this side, what’s on the other. - A pause before you respond is enough.
2. Check your energy position: Am I calm? Rushed? Defensive? Open? -This is important!
3. Ask one clean question: “I’m here so, what is the real outcome I want on the other side?” - This is important too!
4. Choose - Move cleanly. No over-justifying. No future-tripping. Decision is final - no matter the outcome.
5. Release the rest. Trust isn’t control. It’s participation.
The Takeaway: Every moment holds a threshold.
Not dramatic. Not mystical. Just a quiet choice about how you move through your day. And at each one, the question is the same:
“What is the outcome I want and my trust level right now?”
Those answers shape the moment and the outcome that follows, welcome the thresholds.
God is always there with free samples - you can take advantage and see what happens, or wait for the next Saturday
