There are moments when words hurt, conflicts repeat themselves, gossip arises, and certain situations begin to take up too much space in our lives.
In folk witchcraft, one of the practices known for these moments is the freezing ritual.
But before anything else, it's important to understand the true essence of this work:
โ ๏ธ FREEZING SOMEONE'S NAME DOES NOT MEAN WISHING THEM HARM.
The intention is to interrupt what is causing disturbance and establish an energetic boundary.
It's looking at a situation and declaring:
"This no longer has power over me."
โธป
โ๏ธ What does it mean to freeze a situation?
Freezing is used to paralyze, cool down, and distance whatever is stealing your peace.
This practice can be directed toward:
๐ง Gossip and intrigue;
๐ง Constant conflicts;
๐ง Words that wounded;
๐ง Unwanted interference;
๐ง Situations that are disturbing your peace.
Magic doesn't exist to control other people's lives.
It strengthens our ability to set boundaries and decide what we allow to reach our energy.
There are times when the best response isn't to enter a battle.
It's to cool down, silence, and close the door to what no longer deserves to occupy space in our lives.

๐ฏ๏ธ A simple protection ritual
Want to perform this energetic cut consciously?
You'll need:
โฆ A small piece of paper;
โฆ A pen;
โฆ A small container with a lid;
โฆ Water.
โจ How to do it:
1. Write the name of the person involved on the paper.
Right below, write what you wish to interrupt.
For example:
"May all energy directed against me lose its strength and cease to find space in my life."
2. Fold the paper and place it inside the container.
3. Add the water, concentrating your intention on cooling that situation.
Close the container.
4. Say out loud:
"Just as this water turns to ice, everything that disturbs my peace loses its power over me. I freeze the conflicts and energies that don't belong to me. My life remains protected, my paths remain clear, and my peace remains with me."
5. Place the container in the freezer. โ๏ธ

๐งฟ What to do afterward?
The most important thing of all is:
DON'T KEEP FEEDING THE CONFLICT IN YOUR MIND.
There's no point in performing a freezing ritual and then continuing every day to relive the anger, hurt, and situation you want to leave behind.
Energy is also fed by the attention we give it.
So after performing the ritual, choose to protect your mind and your peace.
Magic walks alongside our actions.
Set boundaries in the real world whenever necessary.
Distance yourself from harmful situations.
Protect yourself.
Choose where you want to place your energy.
โธป
๐ When to undo the ritual?
When you feel the situation has truly lost its power and ceased to occupy space in your life, remove the container from the freezer.
Let the ice melt naturally.
As this happens, also acknowledge your own process of liberation.
Afterward, dispose of the contents consciously, visualizing that weight being left behind.
โธป
We often believe that every offense demands a response and that every fight must continue until someone wins.
But protecting your own peace is also an act of power.
Not everything deserves our energy.
Not every provocation deserves a response.
Not every person deserves to continue occupying space in our minds.
There are situations that don't need to be destroyed. They simply need to lose the power they hold over us.
The greatest magic we can perform for ourselves is simply to silence what no longer deserves to dwell in our lives. โจโ๏ธ๐งฟ
