After moving through fear, rejection, control, anger, and guilt, we arrive at a shadow that can reveal one of the most honest parts of ourselves: desire.
Desire doesn't just mean wanting to possess something. Desire is also the will to live, create, experience, change, love, conquer, leave, stay, and occupy spaces that truly matter to us.
The problem begins when we learn to hide what we want. Out of fear of judgment, guilt, family expectations, or the need for approval, we can turn our own desires into something that needs to be repressed.
In witchcraft, desire holds an important place because intention is movement. What we desire directs our energy, our choices, and our actions.
But recognizing a desire doesn't mean obeying it immediately. It means having the courage to see it.
๐ฅ Practice โ Naming the desire
Choose a candle, an object, or a stone that holds meaning for you.
Hold it between your hands and think of something you deeply desire, but usually hide, diminish, or consider inappropriate.
Give that desire a clear name. Then say:
"I recognize what I desire. I don't need to hide my wants to be accepted. I choose to look at them consciously and decide what I'll do with this power."
Remain in silence for a few moments.
Then choose one concrete, achievable action that brings you closer to this desire.
The ritual ends when intention finds movement.
๐ The transformation
Not every desire needs to be fulfilled.
Some desires reveal needs. Others point to changes that need to happen. Some show us parts of ourselves that have been forgotten.
Therefore, integrating this shadow doesn't mean turning every want into action. It means stopping treating your own desire as something shameful.
When we can look at what we want without fear, we reclaim an important part of our freedom.
Desire becomes understood.
๐ค What you can recognize no longer needs to rule you from the shadows.
Today, don't deny your desire.
Look at it.
Name it.
And consciously choose what you'll do with this power.
๐ Tomorrow we reach the final day: Integration.
