πŸŒ™ "When the Arcane calls you, answer"

A personal journey through cards, hidden meanings, and the pleasure of discovering oneself

Figures wrapped in mystery. Symbolisms invisible to the human eye. Cards upright or reversed.

A collection of images that you don't know where to start reading from. What could they possibly mean?

Don't worry, it's common not to understand the message of the drawn Arcana at first, and it might even lead you to leave them locked in a box on that shelf you only touch to dust, if really necessary.

Reading tarot, at least in my experience, has been a mix of study and intuition. For me, it was essential to understand, write, and read books dealing with the symbols and meanings of each individual card, as they are the foundation of the reading and necessary not to misinterpret what we draw. But it is also important to rely on intuition, to feel under the skin what the spread wants to tell us, and especially if directed at ourselves, to try to have the clearest and most unbiased mind possible.

At this point, you might be thinking, "Well, where are you going with this?" Simply giving you some advice: TRY, TRY, AND WHY NOT PLAY!!

That's right, you heard correctly, you should try and play with the cards!!

At the beginning, don't rush into existential questions; you might only risk not understanding the answer correctly and might not like it. Also, you need to get familiar with the cards, touch them, look at them one by one, feel them as part of yourself.

As already mentioned in the previous article, my Tarot deck literally CALLED me.

I was along the Liffey River, in the wonderful city of Dublin, it was evening, maybe around 8 o'clock, when during the walk a strong wind rose, enough to make me quicken my pace, but almost perceptible only to me, other people seemed not to notice it. Then it stops. Suddenly, just as it had arrived. Silencing even the murmur audible until a few minutes before. I adjust my coat and look up, my gaze resting on a small shop with yellow walls and a door not exactly centered. Through the windows, crystals and books were visible, and several people inside. My boyfriend and I entered since he knew I had been interested for some time in buying a Tarot deck. So I approached the shelf where several decks were placed, right behind the cash register.

With these tips in mind, I let the unconscious emerge, as if it were an increase in aura; I absolutely felt nothing. So I turned to my boyfriend, and he immediately understood what I was about to say. Then I felt a force that pushed me to check the shelf again, and there it was, almost hidden yet completely in plain sight. I was determined, and my partner said, "Are you sure? You don't have to choose it necessarily," and my answer was, "I was about not choosing, and then I saw him, he is mine."

So he decided to gift it to me. Because it is said that the tarot deck should not be bought alone but received as a gift. And that evening, in our hotel room, I began to leaf through card after card, seeing their colors, the drawings, perceiving them. Even though at that point I did not know or understand how to read and interpret them. It was clear to my soul that they matched it.

So from that day I started studying and with this article of mine I really want to recommend the method I used.

I have come to the conclusion of this article of mine.

Readers, are you already dealing with tarot readings? How did you get close to them? Did you use the same method as me or another? Write to me in the comments, I would really like to know your stories and maybe they can help those who are now approaching this wonderful art.

Thank you very much.

Beautifully written, but in my research and through speaking with other witches, decks don't have to be gifted. I bought all my own decks and they have been wonderful.

Hi πŸ‘‹ Thank you so much for the compliments! As for whether a deck should be a gift or not, I believe it’s a matter of personal experience and tradition. There’s no strict rule. What truly matters is that your deck resonates with your soul and energy. ✨
