I avoided this card for years, and I avoided it for the same reason I avoided still water at night: I was afraid of what I might see looking back at me.
Not monsters. Not demons. Not the shadow I had already befriended in Strength, nor the chains I had loosened in The Devil. Something worse.
My own reflection, distorted by the ripples of every fear I had ever refused to name.
