Are you choosing from fear or habit?
Hi there,
How have things been going? I feel like all the intensity from the first quarter has been settling down, and we're arriving at a different kind of inner connection. And I'm not sure if it's because we're in Taurus season—which for me always brings that energy of joy and enjoyment—plus Mother's Day weekend, which for many tends to be a very family-centered time, but there's this cozy feeling that helps us remember what really matters.
How are you feeling about it?
Well, this reading is no exception—here's what's coming up for the next few days:
Overall energy: Ten of Cups.
This week brings an energy of emotional integration and connection with what sustains your life. The Ten of Cups speaks to fulfillment, which shows up as a feeling of inner stability.
After so much internal movement, this card reminds you that there's also space to feel support, peace, and reciprocity, and this can allow you to see your relationships, your decisions, and your reality from a different vantage point.
This could be a week where you become more aware of what is actually present in your life—of the people, spaces, or activities that truly nourish your energy. How are you showing up for yourself and for others?
This card invites you to ask yourself what it means to build an inner home and from what place you're creating community, connection, and emotional stability.
Potential blocks: The Devil.
One of my favorite cards because of the depth and transformation it always brings.
The Devil speaks to fear, attachment, control, and the ways we sometimes keep holding onto old versions of ourselves out of habit or a need for security. It can show up as difficulty trusting, self-sabotage, harsh expectations, difficulty receiving support, or needing to control everything that happens in your life.
Once again, it can manifest in how you relate to yourself—with your limiting thoughts, guilt, emotional dependency, need for validation, or fear of leaving familiar places even when they're no longer good for you.
This week is a powerful opportunity to observe which chains you're still feeding and where you're making decisions from. Not to judge yourself, but to recognize with love and honesty what you're still doing from fear rather than authenticity.
This card is a reminder that often the strongest chains don't come from outside, but from the stories we keep telling ourselves about who we are.
Your inner tool: Eight of Wands.
Movement energy is available. The Eight of Wands brings momentum, clarity, and forward movement. Things begin to unstick—answers, conversations, decisions, or situations start to emerge and move more quickly.
This card supports your ability to act, trust your direction, and allow life to move forward without needing to control every step. There's strong motivation for your creativity to expand.
How do you move? Remember that moving forward doesn't mean reacting impulsively or running away from what you feel. Part of the process is learning to hold the movement without disconnecting from yourself.
This energy favors making decisions, expressing yourself, opening paths, and seizing opportunities. Just remember: do it from presence, not urgency.
Not all movement is expansion, love.
Week's Closing
Remember that perfection exists in your mind, not in reality. It's not about trying to build a perfect life, but about recognizing which parts of your reality already feel in alignment with you and which ones you're still holding onto from fear or habit.
Potential: open yourself to receiving support and emotional stability from a place that feels real to you.
Priority: act from presence and honesty with yourself, not from fear or control.
Watch out for: repeating patterns that keep you in familiar dynamics that only feed your ego, reacting from urgency, or disconnecting from what you truly need.
Thanks for reading, see you next week.
Maricela.
