When Lonely Knocked on My Door

When Lonely Knocked on My Door

and woke me up

Let me tell you about the night I realized I had been treating loneliness like an enemy.

I was twenty-two, living in a studio apartment that smelled like old carpet and cheap candles. I had a job. I had a routine. I had done the work—the breathwork, the journaling, the moon rituals I was so proud of. And still, around 2 AM most nights, a familiar ache would settle into my chest.

Not dramatic. Not crushing. Just… a low, persistent hum. Like a refrigerator in an empty kitchen.

I would lie there, staring at the ceiling, and think: What is wrong with me? I have a roof. I have food. I have done everything right. Why am I still so alone?

I called friends. I scrolled apps. I filled the silence with podcasts and TV shows I wasn't watching. I performed "fine" so convincingly that even I believed it, until 2 AM rolled around again and the hum returned.

Here is what I didn't understand then.

Loneliness was not my enemy. It was my nervous system, trying to send me a letter I refused to open.

GM Would you elaborate about what you mean by “cornerstone, blueprint, rendering, and inhabitation” please. I don’t quite understand. Or if you’ve already written article about, direct me to approximate dates. Thanks so much - and for all that you do!!
