🌘The Shadow of September
What drains us at the beginning of autumn
Article · 3 min read · ·

September 2026 is connected with the energy of the Number One—a number of new beginnings, leadership, and will.
But every power has its shadow.
The bright side of the Number One: courage, initiative, clarity, self-belief.
But in September, its shadow may emerge especially strongly.
🌑 THE SHADOW OF THE ONE: "I must be first. I must manage on my own. I have no right to make mistakes."
The energy of 1 in its negative aspect is:
- hyper-responsibility,
- fear of not coping,
- pressure,
- the desire to control everything around us,
- internal tension from the feeling that "I must be strong."
We take on more than we can bear.
We don't ask for help because it seems like weakness.
We set goals and race toward them without noticing our exhaustion.
🌑 FIRST SHADOW: "I must get everything done"
Autumn is traditionally perceived as a time of new starts.
School. Work. Projects. Plans.
We sign up for courses, take on new tasks, promise ourselves we'll be more productive.
And anxiety appears within:
"I'm not keeping up. I'm falling behind. I must do more"🏃♀️😓
But running without stopping isn't productivity.
It's a path to exhaustion and self-imposed pressure!
🌑 SECOND SHADOW: "I must become someone else"
September provokes a desire to reboot.
Start a new life. Change habits. Become "the best version of myself."
It sounds inspiring.
But behind this often lies a lack of love for who we are right now.
We try to run away from our past selves.
To cross out. Rewrite. Reinvent.
But real change doesn't come from rejecting ourselves.
It comes from acceptance.
🌑 THIRD SHADOW: "I have no right to be tired"
Autumn arrives with fatigue.
Daylight hours grow shorter. The body prepares for winter—and wants to slow down.
But we don't allow ourselves this.
It seems shameful to rest.
That a pause is weakness.
That we must always be energized, otherwise we'll miss something...
This is one of the most insidious shadows of the Number One.
It makes us ignore our own needs.
And as a result—we burn out, get sick, lose our zest for life and energy.
🌑 FOURTH SHADOW: "If I slow down—I'll lose everything"
A fear that sits deep.
"If I stop running—everything will collapse."
"If I say 'no'—they won't understand me."
We continue doing what brings no joy.
Because we're afraid to stop.
But within this fear lies an illusion.
We won't lose ourselves if we slow down.
On the contrary, we'll return to ourselves.
🍁HOW TO NAVIGATE SEPTEMBER GENTLY
The main thing is not to overload yourself with the dictatorship of the Number One. If you feel yourself starting to "overdo it"—stop.
That's why in September it's especially important to pay attention to your body.
And here, all means are good:
✨ your favorite sport,
✨ a walk in the park,
✨ drawing,
✨ massage,
✨ a warm bath with your favorite oils,
✨ or simply a quiet evening with a cup of tea.
Choose what feels right for you🥰
The main thing is not to forget the importance of relaxation during the activation of the Number One's energy.
And let your internal anchor this month be the affirmation:
**I am full of life, energy, and joy!**💫
Repeat it to yourself in moments of tension.
It will gently whisper: you already exist. And that is enough.
Also try observing:
✨ Where am I forcing myself to do what I don't want to do?
✨ Where am I losing joy in the process?
✨ What can I simplify?
Remember: the bright side of the Number One isn't running without stopping.
It's the ability to move at your own pace.
It's the courage to be not perfect, but real.
It's a path toward your goals, but without strain.
Every like 🌙 you give to this article is an important energy exchange, thanks to which this space continues to live and shine.
Thank you for your resonance.
