The Fire That Protects Life
Article · 2 min read ·

Anger, Vital Energy, and the Intelligence of Protection
There are moments when energy rises in the body so strongly that it cannot be ignored.
Not chaotic.
Not necessarily destructive.
But for sure intense.
Alive.
It can feeel like heat in the chest.
Like pressure building in the belly.
Like something that wants to move, speak, create space.
For a long time I didn't think of this as anger.
It felt more like energy without a clear place to go.
Sometimes it came out suddenly.
Sharp. Direct.
Almost like fire breaking through the surface.
Other times it stayed underneath.
Quiet. Costant.
A tension I carried without even noticing.
If you recognize this, you are not alone.
And you don't have to go deeper than what feels right for you as you read.
Anger is not separate from what we feel.
At some point, I stopped trying to get rid of this energy.
And started listening to it.
Not forcing. Not analyzing too quickly.
Just noticing, listening to it.
What I discovered was unexpected.
Anger was not the beginning.
It was something that had formed around what had not been expressed, what had not been received, what had not felt safe to exist.
And this realization can feel tender.
If at any point it feels like too much, you can pause, take a breath,
and come back to the present moment.
The body doesn't need to rush.
Fire as a Protector
When Fire has No Space
Fire and Desire come from the same Source
A small Practice
Just as the Moon moves in cycles, the body moves through different expressions of the same energy.
Sensitivity opens. Boundaries regulate. Desire moves.
And sometimes, fire appears.
Not to destroy. But to protect what is alive.
And when we learn to stay with that fire, gently at our own pace, anger stops being something we fight.
It becomes something that stands with us.
There is something about fire that marks a beginning.
A shift.
A movement that cannot be undone.
As we enter a new cycle, one that carries the energy of fire, initiation, and creation,I can feel this same force moving through me.
Not as chaos.
But as direction.
As a creative impulse that wants to take form.
This is the energy from which something new is being born.
In the coming days, I will explore archetypes, feminine energy, and the deeper intelligence of the body through the lens of myth and astrology.
The first will begin with fire.
With the beginning.
With the archetype that stands at the threshold of initiation.
I’m curious to feel how it lands in your body.
