Soulmates from Another Time

My personal journey using a past life tarot reading
Soulmates can be friends, family, or strangers, but the type of soulmate we hope to find most of all is our (as my grandma always says) media naranja, which translates to half-orange, meaning the person who completes you. How do you know where to find that person? Or if you already have? To anyone asking these questions I’ll tell you my story. How did I know who my person was? Coincidences and signs were scattered everywhere and we were always in the right place, at the right time. What I found when looking for a soulmate is that everything lines up, like the universe is always pulling you two together. Sometimes, your soulmate may not even be someone you see romantically.
Finding your soulmate can be tricky, but a couple methods I used to find mine were using witchcraft and tarot. Through tarot, I asked for descriptions of my soulmate, and performed past-present-future readings to figure out what my future would look like. I also used witchcraft to make love spells for myself, here’s what I did: I used rose pedals for love, lavender for relaxation, cinnamon for attracting love, clear quartz to amplify intentions, carnelian to boost confidence, amethyst to open my 3rd eye Chakra so I can see the real intentions of others, and seal it in red wax. I also like to add salt and rosemary to all my spells for protection and cleansing. I like to just put these spells under my pillow so I can forget about them and let them work their magic (no pun intended).
I only ever had one class with him, we never talked after that until the last day of school, where we parked next to each other. We said our goodbyes and that was that or so I thought. Later on, I saw him at a graduation party, in the left turn lane by my car, at a Dairy Queen, I saw him everywhere! It was all a coincidence. He asked me out on a date and here we are going three years strong. But what does this have to do with soulmates? Well, it was like the universe was keeping us apart until we were both ready to find a partner.
The more I got to know about him, I seriously felt like I’ve known him forever. He knows about my witchy ways so we got a past life reading done, by myself and two professionals. The stories lined up perfectly.
It was a long time ago I believe in the 1500’s, I remember seeing forests and hills surrounding a town containing a market, homes, and small walls to protect the people. A safe feeling always washed over me when I was in the woods, it was like I was escaping The chaos of my home and the life I lived. I was a simple farmer's child; poor, skinny, but full of hope for a better life. I had green eyes and fiery red hair. I spent my time helping my family in the fields or with my grandma who taught me all that I knew (which is the same in this life). She taught me witchcraft, but apparently that skipped a generation because my mother was never interested in the art. Just like this timeline, my grandmother has often expressed how she wished mom would do quilting or certain crafts with her.
In my past life, even though I knew witchcraft was frowned upon, I couldn't keep myself out of those woods. That is where I first met him, when he was exploring and I was foraging. He was a boy with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. I was hesitant as he looked different then me and we were not in the same social circle. He grew up with his family as a commoner that lived more in the town, and people respected his family more due to that status. But, we were both children so we played and grew up together. He ended up joining the guards for the town, training and living that lifestyle, and I ended up growing in my craft, using it to help people who were ill and desperate. Much like this life, he is working towards becoming a police officer, and I continue to work with my craft.
When we were 16, he and I grew closer and fell in love.Even though we lived different lives I still loved spending time walking through the markets and woods with him, we did everything together, picnics, horseback riding, sitting under the tree studying for long hours with no one there to bother us. And with his occupation, I always felt safe while looking for supplies for my craft whenever he was around. Once the majority of the townsfolk found out what I did for a living, they weren’t too keen on my practices, so I ended up being hunted down and burned at the stake for my craft, meanwhile he ended up hanging for protecting and loving me.
Unfortunately, today we know That during the 1500’s - 1700’s, roughly 40,000 people were executed for witchcraft. This was known as the “great hunt”. I do believe that he protected me through it all until the end. In this lifetime, I hope to live longer and build a life together like the one I wish we had before. After the reading was over he said to me “How could I forget those eyes?”. I do believe in fate, as today, we love each other’s company as we go on walks, picnics, and adventures together. Mother Nature and the universe provides us with all we need, just be patient, your partner will come when you least expect them to. It will all feel like a coincidence.
The end, thank you for reading my journey.
