Healing isn't about becoming good, it's about becoming honest

Healing isn't about becoming good, it's about becoming honest

Healing isn't about learning to put up with your pain better.

Healing isn't about smiling more.

It's not about speaking nicely.

It's not about becoming "light" all the time.

Healing isn't about learning to put up with your pain better.

Healing is something much more uncomfortable:

👉 stop lying to yourself.

For a long time, we were taught that healing meant being good, understanding, patient, elevated. That healing meant forgiving quickly, understanding everything, not getting angry, not complaining, not making anyone uncomfortable.

But that's not healing.

That's self-abandonment dressed up as spirituality.

✨ Real healing begins when you tell yourself the truth

It begins when you accept things like:

  • "This really did hurt me."
  • "I didn't get over this."
  • "Here I betrayed myself so they would love me."
  • "Here I stayed out of fear, not love."

Honesty hurts because it shatters the narrative we built to survive. The one where we were strong, mature, evolved... even though inside we were exhausted.

Healing doesn't make you good.

It makes you real.

🌑 The shadow wants to be heard too

Your anger.

Your jealousy.

Your resentment.

Your exhaustion.

Your silent rage.

All of that which you were told you had to "work on," "transcend," or "eliminate" isn't the enemy. It's unattended emotional information.

The shadow doesn't ask for punishment.

It asks for truth.

And when you finally look at it without judgment, something powerful happens: it stops controlling you from deep within.

🔥 Healing is letting go of the characters

The character of:

  • the strong one
  • the one who can handle everything
  • the one who understands
  • the one who doesn't bother anyone
  • the one who's always fine

That character protected you once.

But now it's draining you.

Healing is daring to say:

Even if it makes others uncomfortable.

Even if others don't understand.

Even if you're alone for a while.

🕯️ Emotional honesty: the real ritual

It's not always about candles, crystals, or full moons.

Sometimes the ritual is internal and brutally simple:

  • Sitting with yourself without distractions
  • Listening to what you feel without correcting it
  • Naming it without softening it
  • And stop justifying the unjustifiable

That's also spirituality.

An adult spirituality.

Without bypass.

Without masks.

🌿 When you become honest, something falls into place

Not because everything gets better immediately, but because:

  • you stop fighting what you feel
  • you stop forcing yourself to be okay
  • you stop performing to fit in

And there, without realizing it, true healing begins:

the kind that doesn't show in pretty phrases,

but does show in the boundaries you set,

in the decisions you make,

and in the peace you no longer negotiate.

Healing doesn't make you more good.

It makes you more faithful to yourself.

And that, even when it's not always comfortable,

is deeply liberating 🖤✨

So beautiful and so so true! Mainstream spirituality has for too long made “healing “ seem like an elimination and shunning of what is dark when really it’s about acknowledging and integrating that within ourselves

You are spot on—I couldn’t have said it better myself. Especially that idea: we face our shadow as if it were not a part of us that needs to be acknowledged, but rather an outer enemy to be fought instead of something to be walked through.

I am having a whole identity crisis and cried in a long time over something that really isn't that deep (to my ego) but really I just know those tears comes directly from my inner child something that I have been waiting to cry about for a long time

This is so great!!! It came just in time! 🙏 I have been performing to fit in with my partner, but the last weeks has slowly opened my eyes and yet I can see how I have fouled myself. Thank you!! 🥰❤️🙏✨💫✨
