AUGUST 12: THE ECLIPSE THAT DARKENS THE SKY

Tomorrow's New Moon will be unlike any other.

On August 12, 2026, the New Moon will bring with it a total solar eclipse, an extraordinary celestial event where the Moon will pass between Earth and the Sun, casting its shadow across our planet. The eclipse will be visible as a total eclipse in a path that will cross Spain, among other locations.

And this is where the symbolic magic begins.

The New Moon represents beginnings, seeds, and intentions. The eclipse, however, invites us to pause, look within, and recognize what needs to transform.

That's why tomorrow can be a beautiful time to ask yourself:

What part of me is ready to symbolically die so another can be born?

🌿 RITUAL BATH TO CLOSE A CYCLE

Prepare a bath with sea salt, rosemary, and lavender. Add the salt to warm water and place the rosemary and lavender around the tub, or use prepared bath products.

Before stepping in, take three deep breaths.

As you soak in the water, imagine everything you no longer wish to carry releasing from you: fear, sadness, insecurity, draining relationships, repetitive thoughts, or chapters that have ended.

Gently pass your hands over your arms, chest, and legs, as if symbolically lifting that weight away.

Afterward, repeat:

"I release what has served its purpose. I'm grateful for the lessons learned and I make space for my new self."

When you finish, let the water drain away, imagining it carries with it all you've chosen to release.

🕯️ NEW MOON RITUAL

Use a white or golden candle. White symbolizes cleansing and renewal; gold symbolically connects with solar energy, vitality, and inner strength.

On a piece of paper, write down three things you wish to close and below them, three things you want to begin.

Light the candle and place your hands over your heart.

Read your intentions slowly and spend a few minutes visualizing yourself already living in this new chapter.

Afterward, speak:

"Today I close a door without fear. Today I plant a new seed. When the light returns, I too will have been reborn."

Keep the paper for a full lunar cycle.

🌸 THE AROMA OF REBIRTH

To accompany this moment, you can use sandalwood, lavender, rosemary, or natural incense.

Choose a scent that brings you calm. Turn off your phone for a few minutes, dim the lights, and let the space become your little sanctuary.

You don't need to do anything else.

Breathing is also a ritual.

🛡️ PROTECTION

When you finish, place both hands on your chest and imagine a sphere of white light surrounding your whole body.

Visualize it closing gently around you and repeat:

"My energy belongs to me. My peace is protected. My light returns to me."

And remember the most important protection: if you watch the eclipse, use certified solar eclipse glasses. Regular sunglasses won't protect your eyes.

Tomorrow you don't need to become another person.

You only need to make space for the person who was already waiting inside you.

Because when the Sun returns to light the sky, perhaps your own light will have returned as well.
