There are moments when we look in the mirror and feel that something inside us was lost along the way. The face remains the same, the routine keeps going, but the soul feels distant, as if our essence had been smothered by pain, demands, trauma, and the versions of ourselves we created just to survive.

It was precisely in these moments that I began to understand the power of archetypes as instruments of healing and inner reconnection.

According to Carl Jung's analytical psychology, archetypes are universal patterns present in humanity's collective unconscious. They appear in symbols, stories, deities, animals, elements of nature, and even in characters that awaken something deep within us. Each archetype carries an emotional, behavioral, and spiritual frequency capable of activating dormant parts of our own identity.

Sometimes, when I feel lost, I pause everything around me and ask myself:

โ€” At what point did I stop being me?

This question opens an internal portal. A space of honesty where I begin to revisit my choices, my pain, and the moments when I drifted away from who I truly am. And gradually, I realize that we often don't lose ourselves all at once โ€” we abandon ourselves in small pieces.

It's in this moment that archetypes emerge as bridges back.

Before any activation, I start with the body. I do breathing exercises, yoga, and meditation to silence the excess mental noise. When the mind slows down, the soul can speak. And then comes the awareness of which energy I need to access in that moment.

There are periods when we need the Phoenix archetype, to rise from our own ashes. At other times, we need the energy of the Goddess, to remember our worth, sensitivity, and creative power. There are phases when the Wolf appears teaching independence, or the Serpent inviting us toward transformation and deep healing.

Archetypes don't change who we are. They awaken forgotten parts of what already exists within us.

By consciously activating an archetypal energy, we begin to reorganize emotions, thoughts, and attitudes. It's like offering a new direction to the unconscious. Gradually, the body changes, the posture changes, the way we speak changes, and most importantly: the way we see ourselves begins to transform.

Activation can happen in simple yet deeply symbolic ways. Images, candles, crystals, music, meditations, and affirmations function as energetic keys to access that specific frequency. Watching films, studying mythologies, observing symbols, and deeply understanding the meaning of that archetype strengthens this connection even further.

But there's something essential: the archetype only comes alive when it begins to exist in the small actions of daily life.

There's no point in invoking the courage of the Lioness and continuing to accept situations that wound your soul. There's no point in activating the energy of the Goddess of love without learning to love yourself first. The true ritual happens in daily choices.

Healing is remembering who you were before fear.

And perhaps archetypes are exactly that: sacred mirrors showing that there is still life, strength, and essence within us, even after the greatest storms.
