After renewing our energy with rosemary and embracing the soul with lavender, we arrive at the third day of our journey.

Today we walk alongside one of the most revered herbs in natural witchcraft: rue.

Its intense aroma and striking presence have made it, throughout the centuries, a symbol of protection, energetic cleansing, and the breaking of negative influences.

Whenever I feel my energy growing heavier or sense the need to strengthen my spiritual field, rue is one of the first herbs I reach for.

It reminds me that protecting one's own energy is also a form of self-care.

The symbolism of rue

Since ancient times, rue has been used in spiritual practices as an herb of energetic defense.

In natural magic, it's associated with the ability to dissolve stagnant energies and strengthen the auric field.

It's traditionally used for:

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Spiritual protection.

๐ŸŒฟ Cleansing dense energies.

โœจ Breaking negative patterns.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Strengthening personal energy.

๐ŸŒ™ Purification before rituals and divination.

Its energy is firm, intense, and restorative, making it an excellent ally when we feel the need to begin again with more lightness.

How to prepare the bath

You'll need:

  • 1 liter of water.
  • A small handful of fresh or dried rue leaves.

Bring the water to a boil.

Turn off the heat, add the rue, cover the container, and let it steep for approximately 10 minutes.

Strain the infusion and wait for it to reach a comfortable temperature.

After your cleansing shower, slowly pour the water from your neck downward.

As you do this, visualize all heavy energy leaving your body and being transformed by the light.

Remain in silence for a few moments, breathing deeply.

A small ritual

After the bath, open your windows for a few minutes to allow the air to renew.

If you wish, light incense of rosemary, frankincense, or sage and walk slowly through the rooms, holding the intention that only energies of peace, protection, and balance remain in that space.

When finished, give thanks for the protection received.

Affirmation of the Day

"My energy is strong, protected, and luminous. I release everything that no longer belongs to my path and remain surrounded by peace, balance, and light."

An Invitation to Strengthen Your Energetic Field

In natural witchcraft, protecting yourself doesn't mean living in fear of external energies.

It means recognizing that our spiritual field also needs care, just like our body and mind.

Rue teaches us that cleansing isn't just about removing what weighs us down, but creating space so that our own light can shine more brightly.

May this bath strengthen your confidence, renew your energy, and remind you that the best protection comes from conscious intention and a balanced heart.

Tomorrow we'll continue our journey with an herb known for attracting serenity and prosperity: delicate chamomile.
