Water Ritual 🌝

Materials you'll need:

• 7 pieces of blue thread or yarn (about 60 cm each)
• A bowl of water
• Camphor essential oil, powdered resin, or prepared camphor water (though I personally prefer to use sea water or other essential oils since I don't like how camphor smells)

The Ritual:

The first thing I want to point out is that I know we have an upcoming eclipse, and there are people who are hesitant to do rituals or workings during these times, which is completely valid. However, if you live in an area where the eclipse won't occur or where you won't see it, you shouldn't have any issues. Still, this is a physical amulet made during full moons—it's not a manifestation or petition work per se—but whatever feels most comfortable to you.

To create an amulet that helps me in my divination practices, I usually turn to this traditional Ozark knot magic that I read about some time ago from Brandon Weston. The first thing I do is cut seven pieces of blue thread or yarn, each about 60 cm long, and I take them outside at night, right under the full moon's light. Then I fill a bowl with water and add camphor essential oil or powdered resin (if, like me, you don't like camphor, use something you feel more comfortable with and that resonates with you). Starting on the left end of the group of seven threads, I make a knot with all of them together, but without tightening it yet. At that moment I say these words:

"May I see the truth. May the truth always be shown to me. May the hidden come to light."

Then I tighten the knot while blowing through it, and I continue from left to right making six more knots, for a total of seven. I leave the bundle of threads soaking in the previously prepared water all night long. In the morning, I take it out and let it dry completely. I carry it with me or hold it when I do divination work, or simply wear it as an amulet.

I recharge its energy every full moon by soaking it in the water again, and finally I burn this amulet and create a new one when the next Pisces full moon comes around.
