The First Quarter Moon in Cancer, simply explained
Article · 2 min read ·

It’s Time to Stop Sitting With It and Do Something.
So yesterday night I was watching this movie called: Anger Management. I love that movie so much. I found it really funny and it reminds me of different moments in my life, different persons... Then I paused and thought… why this one? I haven’t watched it in years!! Then it hit different. I’ve been watching a lot of comedy lately, especially staring Jim Carrey. I’ve been laughing more, and actually wanting to. I've been so sad for so long. And in that moment, I realized something simple: I think sometimes we don’t randomly go back to things. Sometimes we’re returning to something internal that’s trying to show us a pattern.
That’s what this moment is about… Astrologically speaking. Let me explain better:
Right now we’re in the First Quarter Moon. It’s part of a monthly cycle that begins with the New Moon. The New Moon is like planting a seed, but internally. A thought appears. A feeling becomes clearer. You notice something you didn’t want to face before. Nothing external changes yet, but internally something has already started.
About a week later, this phase arrives. The First Quarter Moon is where that internal “seed” meets reality. In astronomy, the Sun and Moon form a square, a 90° angle. In astrology, that angle represents friction because two forces are pulling in different directions. One part of you wants to stay where it feels safe. Another part of you knows something has to change.
This phase asks one thing: what are you going to do about it?

What do you actually do with this?
Personally, it can feel like pressure because you’re being shown exactly where you’ve been repeating yourself. But at the same time, it’s liberating.
So if something feels familiar right now, pay attention. Not to understand it again, but to change what you do next. Prepare for movement!
