Don't stop at just wishing ✨
Remember, don't stop at simply manifesting the wish itself
Article · 5 min read · ·
I want to share a perspective that could change the way we look at the good things that happen to us.
When we make a wish come true or something good happens to us, we tend to see that moment as a finish line.
We wished for something.
We did our part.
And at last, we can enjoy what has come our way.
But there's something we often overlook.
“Something good that happens to you today might be just the beginning of many more good things you can't yet imagine.”
Because a happy event can hold much more than we can see in the moment it happens.
LIFE DOESN’T STOP AT THE FIRST GOOD THING
Imagine receiving a job offer you’ve wanted for a long time.
The initial joy is obvious.
You’ve reached your goal, and at last you can devote yourself to something that excites you and improve your professional life.
But try looking beyond that.
That new job could introduce you to someone who becomes an important friend.
It could help you discover a talent you didn’t even know you had.
It could give you the chance to travel, explore new places, or develop a project of your own.
And each of these new experiences could, in turn, open up even more possibilities.
So think about how much meaning that first piece of good news might hold.
You thought you had manifested a job.
But what you had really manifested was the beginning of a life much richer in experiences.
The same is true of a meeting, a new friendship, a trip, or an opportunity that seems small at first.
One good thing can have consequences that go far beyond its initial value.
And I think that’s one of the most fascinating things about life.
BEAUTY CREATES MORE BEAUTY
Let’s look at another example.
Think of a book you’ve read and loved.
The first thing it gave you was the pleasure of reading it.
But perhaps an idea in its pages later led you to make a decision.
That decision changed one of your habits.
And over time, that new habit improved an aspect of your life.
So what is that book really worth?
Just the enjoyable hours you spent reading it?
Or all the good things that came from those pages, directly or indirectly?
The value of something good isn’t measured only by the joy it brings when it arrives, but also by all the joy it can go on creating.
And this awareness can profoundly transform the way we manifest.
DON’T WISH FOR JUST ONE OUTCOME
When you ask the Universe for something, it’s natural to focus on the outcome you want.
A happy relationship.
Greater financial prosperity.
A project that finally takes shape.
But try widening your perspective for a moment.
Imagine not only your wish coming true, but also all the positive possibilities that could grow out of it.
If you want to meet someone special, think about the experiences you could share, the places you could discover, and the ideas that could come from meeting each other.
If you want prosperity, imagine the freedom to pursue new passions, help someone, and have experiences you haven’t even considered yet.
If you want to bring a project to life, think about the people it could reach, the new opportunities it could open up for you, and what you might discover about yourself along the way.
You’ll notice something interesting.
When you picture a wish coming true, you’re seeing only a small part of what could happen.
Because that wish coming true could bring new connections, new opportunities, and favorable circumstances you can’t even imagine today.
And so, while you’re wishing for one good thing, life may already have many more good things in store for you, all of them growing out of that first one.
Think of something good that came into your life in the past few years.
It could be an important achievement or an experience that seemed ordinary at first.
Now ask yourself:
“What other good things came, directly or indirectly, from that one experience?”
Try tracing what followed.
You might be surprised to discover how many aspects of your life were enriched by something you initially saw as a single happy event.
And when you’re done, take one last step.
Think about what you want to manifest now.
Imagine that once this wish comes true, it too could become the beginning of a new chain of positive experiences.
When you look at a tree laden with fruit, you know that every fruit contains seeds.
And that, in the right conditions, even a single seed can grow into another tree, which can then produce new fruit of its own.
Life has an extraordinary ability to multiply what comes into being.
One meeting can lead to others.
One good idea can open up new paths.
A wish coming true can lead you to discover other wishes, even bigger ones.
So when something good comes into your life, welcome it with joy.
Enjoy it fully.
But remember, you might only be at the beginning of everything that good thing has to offer.
