NEW MOON IN SCORPIO
A meeting with our deepest truth
Article · 4 min read · ·
The New Moon in Scorpio is one of the latter. Its symbolic energy leads us into the depths of the unconscious, where secrets, unspoken desires and emotions waiting to be transformed reside.
Scorpio is the sign of metamorphosis, symbolic death and rebirth. Under its influence, the universe seems to whisper a powerful truth to us: we canât become who weâre meant to be if we keep clinging to what weâve already outgrown.
This New Moon marks an energetic threshold. Itâs a chance to let go of old wounds, draining relationships, fears that shape our decisions and thoughts that keep us trapped in a limited version of ourselves.
In esoteric tradition, Scorpio is closely associated with transmutation. Itâs the inner alchemy that turns pain into wisdom, loss into understanding and darkness into a new form of consciousness.
But this lunation also speaks to personal power. Not the power we wield over others, but the power we reclaim when we stop giving our energy to things we canât control.
What part of you needs to symbolically die so a new version of yourself can begin to bloom?
The New Moon has traditionally been associated with beginnings. In Scorpio, those beginnings arenât always visible. Sometimes the most important transformation happens in silence: a decision we make from the heart, a truth we finally accept or a desire we stop hiding.
And itâs right in that private space that we can perform a small intention-setting ritual.
NEW MOON IN SCORPIO RITUAL
Honey candle, patchouli, orange blossom, clear quartz and amber
The New Moon in Scorpio invites us to look within and transform what no longer resonates with our essence. This symbolic ritual brings together the sweetness of honey, the delicacy of orange blossom and two minerals rich in spiritual symbolism: clear quartz and amber.
Youâll need:
A honey candle.
A few drops of patchouli essential oil.
An orange blossom, fresh or dried.
A piece of clear quartz.
A piece of amber.
A quiet space where you can connect with yourself.
The ritual
Find a quiet moment. Turn off distractions and take a deep breath. Let your mind settle and your thoughts find their own silence.
Place the clear quartz and amber on a safe surface, forming a small symbolic circle around your ritual space. The quartz represents clarity, intention and inner light; amber represents warmth, vitality and a connection to the energy of the earth.
Hold the orange blossom between your hands. Notice its delicate beauty and connect with what you want to transform in your life. Think about the fears you want to release, the emotions you need to understand and the new beginnings you hope to attract.
Place the flower beside the honey candle, keeping it well away from the flame.
To use the patchouli, you can use a diffuser, following the manufacturerâs instructions. Avoid applying the essential oil directly to the candle, as it could affect how it burns.
Light the candle and gaze at its flame.
Visualize what you want to let go of turning into a lesson. Imagine a new energy beginning to awaken within you, like a seed germinating beneath the dark earth.
As you gaze at the minerals and the orange blossom, repeat softly:
âUnder the New Moon in Scorpio, I embrace my transformation.
I release what no longer belongs on my path.
May the clarity of quartz light the way for my decisions,
may the warmth of amber strengthen my spirit,
and may the sweetness of orange blossom accompany my new beginnings.
I reclaim my strength, my wisdom and my inner power.
May my new beginnings be born of truth,
and may my soul find the courage to be reborn.
I feel it, I allow it, and so it begins.â
Spend a few moments in silence, letting your intention find its place in your awareness.
When youâre finished, extinguish the candle safely. You can keep the orange blossom and minerals as a reminder of your commitment to yourself and to the new cycle thatâs beginning.
Or you can return them to nature.
THE MAGIC OF COMING BACK TO YOURSELF
The New Moon in Scorpio reminds us that darkness doesnât always mean an ending. Sometimes itâs the sacred space where something new begins to take shape.
Donât be afraid to look within. Wherever you find a wound, there may also be an opportunity for understanding. Wherever you discover a fear, a new kind of courage may be waiting.
This lunation invites us to trust in invisible processes, listen to our intuition and understand that every transformation begins with a decision.
You donât need to become someone different. You need to dare to discover who you are when you stop carrying what no longer belongs to you.
Because the true magic of Scorpio isnât about controlling fate, but about finding the courage to transform our own story.
May this New Moon mark the beginning of a new relationship with yourself. One thatâs deeper, more conscious and, above all, freer.
