Beltane Milk

Moon Queen

Beltane is the quintessential sabbat of fertility, passion, beauty and sensuality. That's why today I'm sharing with you a recipe and a glamour magic ritual to help you make the most of this celebration without leaving your home or having to buy an endless list of ingredients.

Beltane Milk/Drink 🌹🥛

You'll need:

2 cups of dairy or plant-based milk of your choice

1 tablespoon of vanilla or cinnamon

Rose petals. Not many, just a small handful.

Honey to taste

We'll start by infusing the milk with the rose petals. For extra safety, make sure you're not allergic or intolerant to any of these ingredients. You can buy dried rose petals at an herb shop or market that guarantees they're safe for consumption. Be careful not to randomly pick rose petals when you don't know if they have pesticides or toxins—always check where your ingredients come from.

Once the milk is infused (boiling for at least 10 minutes), we'll add the honey and vanilla to taste. We'll strain it to remove the rose petals (these should not be consumed directly).

Let it cool to a safe temperature before enjoying.

Beltane Bath 🛁

For this bath we'll need 2 cups of dairy or plant-based milk again, honey, roses, jasmine, and essential oils—whether rose, jasmine, or any other. I'll be using almond oil.

Draw a bath (if you don't have a bathtub, I'll explain later). Once the water is just right, pour in the milk, petals, a bit of honey (not too much), and the oils. I also like to add a gemstone or crystal like rose quartz. Sink in, enjoy, connect with your inner energy and with the goddess's energy. Mentally plan your intentions for the rest of the wheel of the year, meditate on what you want to leave behind—you can even write it down. Once you've taken stock of what you want to leave behind, let the water drain and clean the bathtub thoroughly.

For those who don't have a bathtub, you can mix these ingredients in smaller amounts in a glass bottle, and after you've showered, pour the entire contents of the bottle over your body.

⚠️ if you think you may be allergic to any of these ingredients, do not do this practice ⚠️

Happy Beltane 🌹 🌷 🌼 🌝
