Holy Week

Holy Week

seven days that change everything

There are seven days each year when time moves differently. When every evening, every dawn carries echoes of events that happened two thousand years ago, yet somehow stir something deep within us as if they happened yesterday. April 6-11, 2026 is Holy Week. The final week before Easter. The quietest, the deepest, the most paradoxical.

For some, it's a time of solemn church services and fasting. For others, just another stretch on the calendar before the long weekend. But if you look closely, if you allow yourself to slow down, you'll see: Holy Week isn't only about religion. It's a universal map of the human soul that passes through betrayal, loneliness, death—and emerges into resurrection.

Today we'll talk about what actually happens during these days. Not just in terms of tradition, but in terms of how these ancient stories can help us live through our own trials—and emerge from them renewed.

Wait.. I’m confused bc I thot Holy Week is the week before Easter. 2026 calendar dates Easter Sunday on the 6th.. so today being Thursday April 2, 2026, it’s the Thursday leading up to Easter Sunday.

Hi all 👋 Just clarifying Orthodox and Catholic Easter are not on the same day in 2026. Catholic (Western) Easter is on April 5, 2026, while Orthodox Easter (Pascha) is on April 12, 2026. That is what author is referring to. Just as this coming Friday the 3rd is Good Friday for catholic Easter, next Friday the 10th will be good Friday for orthodox Easter.. 🐣

Friends, thank you for your attention! 🙏 The article is based on the Orthodox tradition (the dates of Holy Week in 2026 are April 6–11). In the Catholic tradition, Easter in 2026 falls on April 5, so Catholic Holy Week is March 30 – April 4. Please follow the calendar of your own tradition. What unites all of us is the meaning of these days: silence, transition, renewal, and hope.
