The End Of The Battle

Moving forward from a place of awareness

The 9 of Wands represents the end of a battle. It speaks to someone who has been through a lot, who has fought, endured, and survived. Everything you have done up to this point has required strength, resilience, and protection. You were making decisions from a wounded space. But know this: the path ahead is not blocked as it may appear, but rather waiting for you to bring awareness to your space. This card reminds us that this is not the moment to keep fighting just because fighting is familiar. This is not the time to throw another punch.

What it asks instead is a shift. You are not here to continue making decisions from your pain or from what wounded you. You are here to recognize that your needs, wants, and desires are honorable. However, there are two important questions to consider: “What do you want?” And “Why do you want it?” Asking why you want something does not mean that the universe needs to vet your decision, but rather, it wants you to go deeper and make that decision from clarity and not from your wounded self. It wants it to be planted on the “good ground” of your heart so that it can thrive and bring forth good fruit. Your skills, wisdom, light, and capacity remain intact. Healing now becomes essential, not as a delay, but as the foundation for making better, clearer decisions moving forward.

Once you know what you want and why you want it, you can take the light that you are and place it on the path you are choosing, not from survival, but from alignment.

When you move this way, you are no longer defending yourself or reacting to the past. You are moving forward with intention, clarity, and self-trust.

Journal questions:

  1. What do I want it? Be as clear as possible.
  2. Is what I want coming from a place of scarcity, fear, or pain?
  3. What is a truth about myself that aligns me with what I want?
