Brigid’s Well

Healing Waters for Inner Child Wounds

Scattered across Ireland and beyond are sacred wells dedicated to Brigid: springs of clear water that have been sites of pilgrimage and healing for thousands of years. People come to these wells carrying their pain, their prayers, their deepest wounds. They drink the water, wash their faces, tie ribbons to nearby trees as offerings.

The water doesn’t promise to erase what happened. It offers something more profound: gentle, continuous healing that seeps into the cracks of our wounded hearts.

For inner child work, Brigid’s wells teach us that not all healing needs to be dramatic or cathartic. Sometimes the most powerful medicine is soft, steady, and endlessly compassionate.
