Lughnasad – The Harvest of the Soul

At the Harvest Sabbat, the energy of Lugh dances with the wisdom of Tailtiu. We celebrate the ancient balance between light and shadow, fire and roots, in rituals of gratitude and ancestral connection.
Born to celebrate the god Lugh and his adoptive mother Tailtiu (the Fertile Earth), who gave her life to prepare the Irish hills and where she was laid to rest.
Lughnasad is one of the main holidays, celebrating the harvest when the heat is at its strongest and the season is at its most splendor.
This holiday is predominantly male, celebrating the sun at its peak heat and energy. However, since it consists of day and night, the Goddess, mother and maiden, is also celebrated, partly because of the Goddess Tailtiu.
It is the celebration where you can practice spells for luck, money, success, and love.
As mentioned earlier, Lughnasad is not only a time of material harvest, it is a time to reap what has been sown thus far; in work, in love, in relationships. And to take stock of the situation.

The Tree of Celebration: The Oak 🌳
The oak, a sacred tree for the Druids, is the tree of Light. It can live for more than a thousand years, representing longevity and the tree of memory of the Druid People, passed down from generation to generation.
It represents contact with ancestors and with the earth. The term Duir also means "door," and it is, in fact, the tree of the threshold between the two worlds. It is dedicated to the Triple Goddess. Its fruit, acorns, were made into flour and were a symbol of fertility and aphrodisiac power.
