Are you a creator? Or are you more of a consumer?

Perhaps you even have many brilliant ideas that come to you; you see the visual so strong in your mind, but you have no idea how to release that into tangible form.

I'm going to discuss with you the ways I have unblocked my Creator energy and channel my emotions into art.

In a world where AI is becoming more and more commonly used by day-to-day people, it is now more than ever where we need to truly tap into our own creative energy to make authentic artwork and writing.

The key point to make is releasing judgement and perfection. When I reflect on my previous experiences in which I had felt blocked within art, it was stemming from those two.

This is a similar process to automatic writing - the act of simply writing and allowing that to flow, without thinking, and simply letting your fingers type. I want to encourage you to try the same kind of energy flow with drawing or painting.

Here's a simple ritual to unleash your creativity:

  1. Take a piece of paper or a sketchbook/art journal.

  2. Grab some form of drawing tool. It can be coloured pens, a ballpoint pen, or simply a pencil.

  3. Start by simply allowing your pen to flow. What shapes does your pen flow into? What colours do you automatically grab?

  4. Draw without judgement.

  5. Repeat this when you're feeling a strong emotion - whether that be sadness, anger, joy, abundance; draw it out and then reflect on the outcome afterwards.

The key is not to judge, not to say, 'I can't draw', it's to observe your creation.

I truly do believe that part of our journey as humans is to wholeheartedly tap into our own Creator energy. Simply making art for the purpose of doing it, without monetary value or without judgement, is a whole different kind of magic.

There's power in trusting where your creative aspects take you. Allow this writing to give you food for thought on your creative processes.

Let me know in the comments below how this landed for you. I would love to know what drawings came from your channelling experience!

If you enjoyed my writing, I would love if you hit the 🌙 button, and don't forget to follow me for future articles!
