Applying strategy to money magic

          When we talk about achieving big accomplishments, it’s easy to fall in the trap of one-single-spell-will-fix-it, and don’t get me wrong, everyone at some point on their journey believed that or maybe even start to wonder if they’re a bad witch for not getting what they want with one spell, good news is: you’re not bad at magic! But maybe you do need more strategy when approaching spellwork, especially in goals that require a multitude of things working the right way, and I’m going to show you a different perspective on this, specifically on your money workings and money related businesses.

           The first thing you need to know is that magic will always run through the easiest path, but also that your thoughts can influence it a lot and, with money spells, there’s an additional issue that comes from the nature of money as a spirit. For example, you may ask for 1,000 dollars in one day, for you to end up finding 10 cents on your shoe and the spell will be done. This is a very common mistake especially for those starting out in magic or witchcraft (and I also did this mistake multiple times), but there’s a few reasons why it doesn’t work out like that: first, because unless there’s a viable way for you to get 1,000 dollars in one day, you probably will receive much, much less than that or even you won’t get it at all, because that’s the easiest path the magic will go through, second because a lot of the times we do get desperate to pay a bill, an unexpected change of plans may have made a hole on your bank account or maybe you spent way too much on your credit card, which leads you to worry excessively about the spell, and third, the most important part, it’s not how money, as a spirit, works.

          The money spirit works under certain rules, and like any spirit, it likes to be pleased. Firstly, money has a very interesting connection with time, they are very good friends and the more time it has, the more money will come. Think of investments, your money grows slowly with time and effort, the more time you leave your money investing, the more money you’ll have, which also pleases the aspect of this spirit that likes to accumulate itself. The more money you own, the more time you give for it to grow, the more money you’ll end up having (and that's good advice if you keep a money bowl, put 5 or 10 dollar bills in there, trust me).

          Other aspects of the money spirit includes its preference for those who honor it, as in, when you value money and its importance in life without letting it control you (and avoiding waste in frivolous things too, that’s also dishonoring it), money will appreciate you. It likes movement, because money likes to flow in and out (as long as there’s more coming in than out you’ll be fine, but no need to be stingy about it). Charity, since you’ll be keeping up with the gift cycle of nature, and lastly, people, because yes, some people can open you many doors for more money to come, or close them. Mind you though, there’s nothing wrong with liking money and a lot of us are taught to act like we don’t to show humility, and this idea has been growing in the spiritual community for decades now, but having money, in our world, is very helpful to keep our sanity and comfort, and if you’re in need of a more detailed explanation on the money spirit and money magic in general, I recommend reading Financial Sorcery by Jason Miller. Now, I won’t touch in this article all the mundane actions to do to increase your income, to get a job or have enough money for your goal and they are as important as the magic, but now that we understand how the money spirit likes to be treated, let’s move on to the magical part.

          The first step for money magic is to understand your current situation and what steps are needed to conclude your wish. Let’s say you want a specific job that will pay you way more than your current job. Just asking the universe for the spot to be yours won’t be much helpful, so that’s where strategy enters. For you to get the job, apart from being qualified enough, you’ll have to have a good relationship with the people evaluating you, so you can tackle on some glamour magic for your interview, sweeten the person to open you to possibilities (if you know who they are, if not, you can address it to the HR of this company in general), use certain crystals or spell bags/jars to make you feel more confident and so on. Additionally, you could make a road opener spell or even a job attraction bowl addressed to the deities or other spirits you have a relationship with that are related to money (and make sure to get them an extra offering if you do get hired). In any situation though, I’d advise you to divine on it to know your weaknesses and strengths so you can properly balance them out in your favor. Think of all the things that will make your plan go wrong, and then do simpler spells to break these obstacles to ensure your success, they are as important as the bigger rituals.

          This is all pretty much the groundwork for achieving your goals, and while the mundane plays a big part in it, we are witches! Indeed, magic may not be as simple as throwing herbs in a cauldron and the spell will be done, but we absolutely have the power to move the winds to our favor. I hope that with this article you’ll never have to doubt your own power again, because when we combine our power with strategy, when we combine knowledge with mindful action and our own intent, we become a life force.
