We've reached the fourth day of our journey through the shadows. After crossing through fear, acknowledging rejection, and observing control, we encounter an emotion that many traditions have taught us to hide: anger.
In witchcraft, fire doesn't only represent destruction. It also transforms, purifies, and restores movement to what has been stagnant.
Anger can carry this same power.
๐ฅ When anger arises
Anger tends to surface when something crosses a boundary. An injustice, an invasion, a frustration, a loss, or an ignored need can ignite this energy.
The problem isn't in feeling anger.
It's in allowing it to choose our words, actions, and decisions.
When repressed, it can transform into resentment. When poured out unconsciously, it can hurt those around us โ including the one who feels it.
Anger doesn't need to be obeyed. It needs to be understood.
๐ฟ Magical practice โ Returning the fire
Choose a stone or piece of wood that can represent what awakened your anger. Hold it in your hands and mentally acknowledge the situation. Then, walk to an outdoor place where you can temporarily leave it on the earth. Place the object on the ground and say:
"I recognize the fire that exists within me.
I receive its message and release its violence.
May my strength remain with me,
and may what doesn't belong to me be returned to the earth."
Breathe deeply and leave the place.
Don't take the object back.
๐ The transformation
Anger is also information.
It can show a boundary that's been crossed, a neglected need, or a situation that demands change. When we listen to its message without handing over control to it, the fire stops consuming and begins to illuminate.
You don't need to extinguish your anger to be a conscious person. You need to learn to transform its force into direction.
๐ฅ Some fires didn't come to destroy. They came to show where boundaries need to be set.
Day 4 complete. Tomorrow, we cross through the shadow of Guilt.
