When Reason Meets Intuition: A Week to See the Familiar in a New Way
Article · 7 min read · ·
To me, the main theme of the week lies in the space between what we know and can explain, and what we simply feel.

The Sun enters Virgo, bringing more attention to details, practicality, and a desire to better understand how our everyday lives work.
At the same time, we are approaching the Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on August 28. Along the Virgo–Pisces axis, the balance between logic and intuition becomes especially important: where analysis helps us, and where trying to explain everything can make it harder to hear what we truly feel.
Mercury, the ruler of Virgo, is especially active this week. Its aspects can bring greater focus to communication, thinking, and decision-making: the trine to Lilith can help us take a more honest look at what we usually leave unspoken, the opposition to the North Node may prompt us to reconsider familiar ways of thinking, and the trine to Chiron can help us find gentler words for difficult subjects. On Thursday, the conjunction of Mercury and the Sun can bring greater clarity around our own desires, while closer to the eclipse, the square between Mercury and Uranus may unexpectedly shift our usual way of thinking: a new idea, a different perspective on a familiar situation, or an understanding we hadn't been able to reach before may suddenly emerge.
This week can be a good time to notice how we arrive at our decisions in the first place.

☀️🌿 Sun enters Virgo
☀️🩹 Sun trine Chiron
With the start of Virgo season, our attention may naturally shift toward everyday life over the coming month. Some may feel like getting their work tasks in order, others may finally want to focus on their health or routine, while someone else may simply notice that a certain habit no longer feels right.
The Sun trine Chiron adds a gentler tone to Virgo's practicality. Paying attention to yourself can become a way to understand your needs and find a sense of grounding in them. Self-care, small changes, and paying attention to your own desires can become a source of renewal and inner confidence.
🌿 Good for:
organizing your workspace, revisiting your daily routine, cooking a healthy dinner, finishing a small task, getting a massage, updating your goals.

💬🌑 Mercury trine Lilith
Your thoughts may feel a little bolder than usual today. Mercury trine Lilith can help you notice a subject you've been thinking about for a while but haven't really wanted to put into words. It could be a desire, a doubt, irritation, or simply an opinion that doesn't quite align with other people's expectations.
This can show up in conversations too: people may speak more directly, pick up on subtext more quickly, and be more sensitive to anything that feels insincere. You don't necessarily have to say everything out loud right away. There can be something valuable in the moment when you first put something into words for yourself.
🌿 Good for:
keeping a journal, having a heart-to-heart conversation, writing something personal, working through a difficult thought, reading psychology books, developing a creative concept, writing down everything you'd like to say but aren't ready to say yet.

💬🌿 Mercury enters Virgo
💬🧭 Mercury opposition North Node
💬🩹 Mercury trine Chiron
Mercury enters Virgo, becoming especially attentive to details, facts, and practical solutions. At the same time, its opposition to the North Node may call our usual way of looking at a situation into question. Pay attention to the information around you: sometimes the issue isn't a lack of information — we simply keep thinking in familiar patterns.
Mercury trine Chiron helps make this process constructive. A difficult subject can be looked at more closely; you can acknowledge that you don't know something, ask a question, seek feedback, or finally find the words for something that was hard to explain before.
This is one of those days when a new thought may prove more useful than an answer you had prepared in advance.
🌿 Good for:
reviewing your plans, editing a text, going over your budget, getting professional feedback, signing up for a course, making a list of priorities, organizing documents, writing a letter you've been putting off.
Wednesday, August 26
✨ No major aspects
After several days of actively reshaping your thoughts, give yourself some time before rushing to final conclusions.
Especially now, during Eclipse Season, it can be more interesting to observe recurring thoughts and feelings than to immediately turn each one into a decision. What keeps coming back to you? Which idea won't let go? And what, on the other hand, has suddenly stopped feeling important?
🌿 Good for:
going for a walk, reading, cooking, yoga, drawing, taking care of your plants, going through your notes, a digital detox, keeping a gratitude journal, having a quiet evening with no plans in advance.
Thursday, August 27
☀️💬 Sun conjunction Mercury
Thoughts and intentions come together today. The Sun conjunct Mercury can help you understand your own position more clearly and find words for something that previously existed more as a feeling.
This can show up in your work, relationships, or personal plans: you may suddenly have a clearer sense of what you want, what you want to offer others, or which question can no longer be put off. Clarity doesn't necessarily mean having a final answer. It can simply help you ask the right next question.
🌿 Good for:
an important conversation, a presentation, writing, recording a podcast, planning for autumn, learning, public speaking, defining your personal goals, discussing a new project.

🌕🌊 Lunar Eclipse & Full Moon in Pisces
☀️⚡ Sun square Uranus
💬⚡ Mercury square Uranus
The Lunar Eclipse and Full Moon in Pisces become the culmination of the week and the entire Eclipse Season. Along the Virgo–Pisces axis, the tension between the desire to put everything in order and the need to accept what cannot be fully controlled or explained by logic may become especially noticeable.
Some may realize they've spent too long analyzing a situation that called for more trust in their own feelings. Others may feel ready to stop going with the flow and finally take a closer look at a specific question and the facts around it. An eclipse doesn't necessarily bring a ready-made answer — it can make the question itself more visible.
Adding to this are the squares from the Sun and Mercury to Uranus. The usual flow of the day may take an unexpected turn: a conversation may head in a different direction, a plan may need adjusting, or a piece of unexpected information may help you see a familiar situation in a completely new way.
The interaction between Mercury and Uranus is especially interesting to observe: you don't have to take the first thought that comes to mind as the final answer, but there's also no need to dismiss a new idea simply because it doesn't fit the picture you had before. New understanding can begin when an old way of thinking no longer quite works.
🌿 Good for:
keeping a journal, writing down dreams and sudden ideas, spending time by the water, making music or drawing, revisiting plans without rushing, taking a walk without your phone, leaving some time and space for something new.
Saturday, August 29
✨ No major aspects
The week ends without major aspects, so the pace becomes more relaxed. This can be a good day to return your attention to everyday life and make time for things that didn't fit into the week. After such an active period, simple pleasures may feel especially satisfying: a beautiful breakfast, a long walk, meeting friends, or getting back to a favorite activity.
Choose something that brings back a sense of lightness and curiosity. The day is well suited to spontaneous plans, small pleasures, and activities that don't need to be useful or productive.
🌿 Good for:
a day trip out of town, a late breakfast, meeting friends, browsing a bookstore, a bike ride, cooking something new, visiting an exhibition, spending time on a favorite hobby, a short getaway, an evening with music and good company, getting some extra sleep, spending time in nature, visiting a museum, browsing the shelves at a bookstore, sorting through photos, writing down a few thoughts from the week.
Reason and feelings may speak different languages, but together they can help us see the bigger picture. May this week bring clarity about what truly matters to you and leave space for new ideas, desires, and discoveries. For the greater good.🕊️✨
