October 25, 2026 | 09:09 UTC | 29°59' Libra Venus in Libra until December 4 | Direct at 22°52' Libra: November 13

Venus turned retrograde on October 3 at 8°29' Scorpio. She spent three weeks moving back through the sign. Today, at 29°59' Libra, she crosses the threshold between the two signs for the second time, moving in reverse.

She is returning to the territory she rules.

Libra is Venus’s home sign: the sign where she operates most naturally, where the principles she governs—balance in relationships, aesthetics, and the pursuit of real harmony—find the most supportive ground. The retrograde, which began in Scorpio, will end here.

This shift has a particular quality noted in astrological tradition: when a planet retrogrades into its own sign, the review process that began with the retrograde finds a more receptive field for what has been uncovered. What Scorpio forced us to examine in the depths, Libra can begin to give form to.

29°59' Libra: The Threshold

Venus doesn’t enter Libra in the middle degrees of the sign. She enters at 29°59', the final degree before zero, the furthest point Libra reaches before becoming Scorpio.

In astrological interpretation, the 29th degree of any sign carries the most urgent and most concentrated quality of that territory. It is the degree of closure and completion, where everything the sign represents is processed before the transition.

Venus returning to Libra at the 29th degree can be read as the relationship review reaching the point where what was uncovered in Scorpio needs to be integrated into Libra’s language: balance, dialogue, and what is fair within a relationship.

The Taurus Full Moon on the Same Night

Tonight, the Full Moon in Taurus occurs at 04:11 UTC on October 26.

Taurus is the other sign ruled by Venus. On the same date Venus retrogrades back into Libra, the Full Moon takes place in the second of Venus’s two home signs.

In astrological interpretation, this creates a space where both sides of what Venus rules are illuminated at once: Libra, with its questions of balance in relationships and partnership, and Taurus, with its questions of material value, security, and what is sustainable in practical terms.

What Venus has been reviewing since October 3 may come into unusually clear view tonight.

What the Retrograde in Libra Will Examine

Venus moved through Libra in direct motion from August 6 to September 10 before entering Scorpio. Now, in retrograde, she will travel through part of that same territory again.

One way to interpret this return: what surfaced as a question of balance in relationships between August and September may get a second look. What seemed settled, or what was pushed aside in the rush of forward motion, may reappear from a different perspective.

Libra rules agreements, partnerships, and what is fair within a relationship. The period leading up to the direct station on November 13 may be a good time to examine where agreements have a real foundation and where they were made for convenience or to avoid conflict. 🥀

The Esoteric Meaning: Venus Returning to Netzach Along the Path of Lamed

In the Hermetic system of the Golden Dawn, Venus is the planet of Netzach, the seventh Sephirah, the sphere of beauty and love in their most direct expression. Libra corresponds to the path of Lamed, Major Arcana VIII, Justice, which connects Geburah to Tiferet.

Venus retrograding back into Libra can be read as the planet returning to the path that leads to her own sphere. The process of transformation that Scorpio began now needs to pass through the realm of Lamed, where what has been examined can be weighed honestly before being carried forward.

The scales of Justice don’t weigh what seems right. They weigh what is real. What Venus brought back from Scorpio now passes this test.

How to Work with This Ingress

Notice what comes up as a question of balance over the next few days. Venus’s return to Libra may bring clarity about where harmony truly exists and where it was being maintained through avoidance.

Take a look at what was left unresolved between August and September. What surfaced as a relationship issue during that time may reappear from a different perspective now that we’ve moved through Scorpio’s review process.

Use tonight’s Full Moon as a point of observation. The combination of Venus in Libra and the Moon in Taurus, the two signs Venus rules, may offer clarity about what holds real value in two areas: relationships and what is materially sustainable.

Wait for the direct station on November 13 before making final decisions. The review process is still underway. What becomes clear between now and the 13th may be more useful as information than as a basis for immediate action.

Reflection

Venus spent three weeks in Scorpio reviewing what lay beneath the surface in relationships and values. What she found wasn’t planned. It was what was there, whether or not anyone had gone looking for it.

Now she is returning to her own territory with what she discovered. Libra will need to work with the material Scorpio brought to the surface. The balance that emerges from this process will be different from the balance that existed before October.

More honest. Perhaps harder to maintain. Probably more real.

“The balance that was tested before it was built can bear a different weight than one that was never put to the test.”
