Uranus in Gemini

my personal conversation with change

Illustration for Uranus in Gemini

On April 26, 2026, Uranus—the great awakener, the rebel, the disruptor of all we know—will leave Taurus, where it has spent the last seven years, and move into Gemini. It will remain there until 2033.

Seven years. An entire cycle of transformation.

I'm writing this not only as an astrologer, but as someone born with the Sun in Gemini. This transit is my personal conversation with the Universe. And today, I invite you to look into it with me: what it might bring to all of us, and what I hope to experience and discover over these seven years.

⚡What Uranus Is and Why Its Shift Matters

Uranus is the planet of sudden shifts, freedom, innovation, and revolution—both external and internal. It has no patience for stagnation, routine, or rules that lost their meaning long ago. Wherever Uranus passes, the familiar crumbles—so that something new, more vibrant, more true can emerge in its place.

For seven years, Uranus was in Taurus—the sign of earth, money, stability, values, and the body. We lived through a complete reassessment of everything considered "reliable": the economy, work, our relationship with resources, with our bodies, with food, with home. For many, this was a time of loss and re-evaluation. But also a time of liberation from what kept us trapped in "safety."

Now Uranus moves into Gemini. And Gemini is my sign. It's an air sign—of information, communication, ideas, curiosity, multiplicity, lightness. And the changes ahead will be of an entirely different nature.

🦋 What Uranus in Gemini Brings for Everyone

Regardless of your sign, the next seven years will touch on the domains ruled by Gemini:

  • Information and media. How we get our news, whom we trust, how we distinguish truth from fake news. Old information monopolies may collapse; new ways of knowledge exchange will emerge.
  • Education and learning. Schools, universities, courses—their formats will transform. We may see the rise of micro-learning, peer-to-peer skill sharing, and the rejection of unwieldy systems.
  • Language and communication. How we speak, write, translate. AI translators, neural networks, new languages of communication. And at the same time—a return to the living word, to dialogue without filters.
  • Siblings, neighbors, close circles. Relationships with blood relatives and kindred spirits may unexpectedly change. Some will grow closer, some will leave—and it will be sudden, without drawn-out goodbyes.
  • Thinking and neuroplasticity. Uranus in Gemini may bring new ways of thinking, learning, remembering. Technologies that change the brain. And at the same time—the risk of information overload and fractured attention.

🌬️My Expectations from the Transit (I'm a Gemini)

I've been waiting for this moment for a long time. Uranus in my sign feels like a guest arriving who knows all your hidden rooms and finally gives you permission to open the windows.

Here's what I hope to experience over these seven years.

1. Honesty in Words

Geminis know how to speak beautifully. We know how to adapt to our conversation partner, choose the right words, make conversation easy. But Uranus won't tolerate convenience. I expect it to shake me out of the habit of softening the truth, avoiding sharp topics, saying "yes" when I want to say "no."

My hope: I'll learn to speak my mind without fear of being misunderstood. And I'll accept that not everyone will like my voice.

2. Freedom from Others' Thoughts

Geminis easily absorb others' ideas. We're sponges. Sometimes that's wonderful. Sometimes we stop understanding where our thoughts are and where we've borrowed from others. I expect Uranus to help me separate the wheat from the chaff. Stop broadcasting others' truths. Find my own.

3. Lightness Without Losing Depth

Gemini is associated with superficiality. But that's not true. We can be deep—just differently, not like Taurus or Scorpio. Uranus in my sign, I hope, will give me permission to be light without guilt. I don't have to be tragic to be serious. My depth lies in speed, in connecting the unconnectable, in playing with meanings.

4. New Teachers and Students

Uranus always brings unexpected encounters. I expect people to appear in my life who will overturn my understanding of what I know. And perhaps I'll become that unexpected teacher for someone. No mentoring, no hierarchy—just exchange.

5. Technology in Service of the Soul

As a writer, I work extensively with words. Artificial intelligence, new platforms, voice formats—I expect Uranus to help me use them not to escape from myself, but for deeper contact with readers. Technologies aren't enemies if we don't surrender our souls to them.

🔮 What to Watch Out For (and How to Soften It)

Uranus isn't always a gift. Its energy can be harsh, destabilizing.

Potential risks for everyone:

  • Information chaos. Even more fake news, even more noise. It will be important to learn to disconnect, filter, trust the body and not just the headlines.
  • Communication breakdowns. Sudden arguments, misunderstandings, people leaving without explanation. Uranus doesn't like long goodbyes.
  • Mental overload. The desire to learn everything at once, jumping from topic to topic without finishing any. Conscious slowing down will be needed.

How I plan to manage this:

  • Introduce screen-free Saturdays (a day without devices).
  • Practice "one thing at a time"—restoring focus.
  • Allow myself not to know. Geminis want to understand everything. Uranus teaches: sometimes there is no answer, and that's okay.

🌿 Practice for Entering the Transit

This simple practice will help you attune to the energy of Uranus in Gemini—regardless of your sign.

You'll need: a sheet of paper, a pen, 15 minutes of quiet.

Step 1. Write down three beliefs you want to reconsider.

Not "bad" beliefs, but ones that may have become outdated. For example: "I must be serious," "money isn't discussed," "I can't learn."

Step 2. Next to each, write an alternative.

One that sounds freer, more authentically you. For example: "I can be both light and serious."

Step 3. Choose one action.

What can you do in the coming days to test this new thought in practice? Something small, safe.

Step 4. Read aloud:

"I open myself to change. I give myself permission to think differently. My thoughts are mine, even if they're strange."

🦋 In Closing

Uranus in Gemini isn't a command to "change immediately." It's an invitation to notice where we've frozen in our views, in our words, in our way of communicating with the world and with ourselves.

For me, as a Gemini, this is a time of returning to my true self. Not the one who speaks "correctly" and thinks "conveniently," but the one who is curious, changeable, alive.

I don't know what these seven years will bring. But I know I'm ready to meet them—with a notebook, a cup of tea, and an open mind.

Perhaps that's the best gift Uranus can give.

P.S. If you also feel this wind of change—share in the comments what belief you want to reconsider in the coming years. Let our words support each other.
