On September 2, Mercury leaves the domain of bright, dramatic Leo and carefully, yet persistently, knocks on Virgo’s door.

To attune to the energy of the planet of communication and thought, it’s best to trade flamboyant speeches and the urge to “put on a show” for a new motto: “Measure twice, cut once”.

Virgo loves detail and precision — and in this sign Mercury feels right at home. After all, this is where it finds its exaltation.

Like a chessboard, this transit invites careful moves and strategic thinking — every detail matters, and precision leads to victory.

Make the most of clear thinking and attention to detail

From September 2–18, while Mercury is in Virgo, it may finally become easier to figure out how to handle multitasking and organize the things that have been weighing on your mind. This is a great time to dive into big chunks of information, memorize dates and numbers, and — fittingly — send a special shout-out to students heading back to school.

Remember about the Shadow Side

Working with details is favorable now, but keep your focus on the bigger purpose so you don’t get lost in the fine print. After a stretch of fiery speeches, Mercury in Virgo can feel a bit stingy when it comes to heartfelt confessions or affection. Don’t rush to blame yourself or others for sudden stiffness or dry words — it may just be Mercury in Virgo at work.
