Jupiter Cazimi and the Psychospiritual Face Punch

How I Tried to Embrace Growth and Accidentally Had an Out-of-Body Panic Attack in the Produce Aisle
Listen, I didn’t ask for Jupiter to do a full WWE-style cosmic elbow drop into the heart of the Sun. I didn’t sign up for a “cazimi,” which, in astrology, is when a planet cuddles up so close to the Sun it’s basically getting roasted like a marshmallow dipped in ambition and daddy issues.
No, I just woke up one morning with the unshakable urge to clean out my emotional closet… and also my actual closet. By noon I had donated three trash bags of clothes, burned sage while crying to an old voicemail, and decided that maybe I was meant to move to Portugal and start a spiritual goat farm.
That’s when I googled what the hell was going on, and—bam—Jupiter cazimi. Great. The planet of expansion, wisdom, and long-winded philosophical monologues was inside the actual Sun, channeling its energy straight into my soft, vulnerable, barely-caffeinated psyche.
Now, normally, I’m chaos-flavored with a side of avoidance. But this cazimi hit different. Suddenly I had the self-awareness of a Buddhist monk on mushrooms. I was journaling furiously about my childhood wounds, staring out the window like I was in an indie film, and announcing things like “I think the universe wants me to unlearn capitalism.”
My wife walked in on me barefoot in the yard, whispering affirmations to a rock I found under the porch. I told her the rock’s name was Carl and he was helping me work through some deep-rooted beliefs about scarcity. She nodded slowly and offered me a sandwich.
By day two of the cazimi, I had:
- Booked a past life regression.
- Cried over a TikTok about a duck rescuing a puppy.
- Started writing a book about forgiveness titled “God Has WiFi.”
- And experienced what I can only describe as an allergic reaction to small talk and shallow friendships.
At one point, I walked into the grocery store and locked eyes with an old woman squeezing cantaloupes. I felt her soul. I almost asked her if she needed healing. Instead, I just awkwardly muttered “You’re doing great” and ran to the cereal aisle, where I had a minor identity crisis in front of the granola bars.
Here’s the thing nobody tells you: when Jupiter goes cazimi, it doesn’t just hand you enlightenment. It hands you a flaming sword of truth and says, “Okay, now cut through your own bullshit.” And if you’re not ready, it’s like trying to do brain surgery on yourself with salad tongs and good intentions.
So yeah. Jupiter cazimi. 10/10 would recommend if you enjoy spiritual glow-ups, spontaneous weeping, and cosmic ego deaths between emails.
I survived. I grew. I now own a dream journal, three citrine crystals, and a mildly haunted Carl the Porch Rock. And while the expansion was beautiful, next time I’d like a warning that “downloads from the universe” feel a lot like a nervous breakdown with glitter.
