What is Void-of-course Moon?

What is Void-of-course Moon?

As the Moon moves around the Sun and the Earth, it enters one of the 12 signs of the zodiac within a period of one month and adopts its basic characteristics. During its movement, the Moon also “interacts” with the other planets by forming aspects with them (angles at which the planets are placed relative to each other). Such aspects can be harmonious (60, 120 degrees) or hard (0, 90, 180 degrees).
All this influences the energy of the lunar day and, as a consequence, our emotions, energy levels, our physical and psychological comfort/discomfort.

undefined

There is a period in the Moon’s transition from one zodiac sign to another when it has completed its interactions with the other planets, but has not yet entered into any aspect with them in a new sign. This period is referred to as the void Moon, a.k.a. void-of-course Moon. It is as if the Moon takes a break from the energies of the other planets and stays on its own, without having the proper effect on us. It happens once about every 2.5 days and can last from a few minutes to a couple of days.

While the Moon is void, or as they say, ineffective, we too can feel ineffective, lost, sleepy, as if in a fog.
That’s why astrologers advise avoiding important decision-making, embarking on new projects or cases, or making major purchases during this period. There is a possibility that the efforts we invest will not have the desired effect, as our analytical and decision-making skills may not be at their best. The same thing can be done in a more favorable period much faster and with less energy. During the void Moon period, people are often late, arrangements are broken, things are lost...

undefined

If you are aware of the void Moon timing, you can use it to your best advantage. Since it is normally a period of peace and tranquility until the Moon is powered by the energy of the next planet, you can and should dive deep into yourself, be alone, reflect and meditate, put your thoughts in order, deal with routine tasks that do not require you to make any bright decisions or focus.

During this period, people usually feel slack and sleepy. If the void Moon stretches for the whole day rather than an hour, a good idea is to take a day off and stay at home to read a book, get some sleep or go to a spa.

If you cannot put off your work or errands, then when you get down to business, try to follow your usual plan – do not experiment with new solutions or ways of doing things, but do what you have done dozens of times, the way you know. The time for creative solutions is about to come!

Plan your affairs based on the peculiarities of the Lunar Day to live harmoniously and happily.
The MoonX team will make sure that valuable information about the Moon and its impact on you is always at your fingertips right on time.

I had no idea that the void-of-course period existed. It explains so much and in future I’ll try to remember to work with it rather than try to force an issue. Useful information and so much to learn from in the great little app. So glad I got it. 🙏🏻

Why does the app tell us when the moon is void of course , or rather, tell us each time? Or is it too specific to region ? I saw it listed once this month, I think because it was long. But the description says it happens to a degree each time the moon changes aspect. I suggest adding an alert each time or something . Thanks
