🔮 Your birth chart, or natal chart, captures a snapshot of the sky at the moment of your birth. The alignment of planets in the sky during your birth is as unique as your fingerprints.

Each “planet” — and there are 10 of them in western astrology — is in a particular zodiac sign and astrological house at a particular moment. Moreover, the planets are aligned at a certain distance and influence each other. All of this makes a great difference.

Well it could be that you normally follow Vedic astrology. This app is based on Western astrology.

Time of birth has not always been recorded on birth certificates. Depending on the year you weee born, you may not be able to find it there. Wild, right!?!

You can usually find time of birth on the long form certificate. Short form certificates usually don't have time of birth and they are usually what you get from the local Health department.

Not knowing my time has been an upset for me since I was little. I am still sad that I can't get a precise chart. My mother remembers it was "near dinner time." I chose 5:30pm; it seemed wrong. So, I tried 6:30pm and it seems right.

It doesn’t match with what I get on astrodienst which I’ve been using for years! Or previous readings I have had… is it a matter of changing the placidus system?

If your ascendant is the same and the planets are at the same degrees and you are simply referring to which house your planets lie in then that has to do with it being in Placidus if you typically use a different system like whole sign. If you are referring to your planets being at different degrees or even different signs then you need to speak to their support team.

Go to a site like Astro.com or astro-seek.com or hire a professional to pull your chart and give you a reading. Whichever way you prefer. Also, if you have an iPhone there is a fantastic astrology app that is free (very technical not at all like this app) called Time Nomad that I HIGHLY SUGGEST for anyone that is very interested in learning or is an experienced astrologer. It is a fantastic tool to have.

Maybe add the ability to read in whole house systems as much as I want to follow along with the monthly challenges, the house placements are not what I’m used to and deters me from doing them.
