Hello friend, Welcome to this 10-minute journey of forgiveness and purification. We are recording this practice at a very special place in Bali which is famous for its purifying and healing energy. It is believed that the holy water of Sebatu Springs cleanses your body as well as your spirit, it releases all your burdens off your heart and clarifies the mind and soul.
Let’s begin by taking a comfortable position sitting or lying down. Adjust your spine and make sure it is straight and aligned. Relax your face and put a little smile on it. Take a breath in through the nose and exhale completely. One more deep inhale and exhale with relief. Continue breathing naturally, slowly, through the nose, as we gently guide you into the practice. Today we will use a Hawaiian technique called Ho’Oponopono which is a very powerful meditation on forgiveness. “Ho’Oponopono” Translates as “make it right” meaning that we want to correct something, fix it, make it right. Think of a personal situation in your life that doesn’t feel exactly right. Especially if you hurt someone or someone hurt you. Or maybe you became the reason for someone’s pain or trouble. Think of the person involved in this uneasy situation with whom you would like to make it right. If you are so lucky and you don’t feel any guilt or remorse at this moment, that’s wonderful. Then think about your ancestors perhaps and go deeper into the karmic forgiveness. At last, think about yourself: maybe you have done something wrong to yourself and would like to forgive yourself now? Take a minute to visualize the situation you would like to correct and the person you feel sorry about. Now we are ready to pronounce the mantra. These are simple yet extremely efficient words to make it right with someone who needs it most. Just 4 sentences: I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you. Take a deep breath in, picture that person and repeat. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you. If you feel like crying during this meditation, please do. Release your deepest emotions, let your tears flow out. This is your moment of purification, of cleansing your mind, your moment to lift the heavy burden off your heart. Release every bit of regret, remorse, anger, frustration and any suppressive emotions you’ve been holding onto. Let your heart be free of guilt. Let your mind be free of tension. Let your soul be crystal-clear like the holy water of a natural spring. I’m sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.
