Today we show you a beautiful ritual for autumnal equinox. On 23 September the sun crosses celestial equator which happens only twice a year. At this time day is the same length as night all over the globe. This cosmic alignment is so powerful that equinox is believed to be a day of particular importance, it marks the beginning of the new season and needs to be properly celebrated. Now we’ll offer you few simple ideas how to charge yourself with good luck on this special day. Let’s begin with making an autumn altar. It’s always good to clear up the space before you start anything new. You may use palo santo or any other wood for cleansing ritual. Your altar for the equinox should include the gifts of nature that you can literally find in the forest or in a local grocery market. Bring some red and yellow leaves, some seasonal fruit and vegetables, berries and flowers. Play around your crops to make a beautiful composition or bouquet. Light a candle to make warm yellow light. Burn incense. Place some objects of your personal attachment on the altar - maybe crystals, sentimental souvenirs, jewelry. Prepare some water or tea, as well as piece of paper and a pen. Once your altar feels complete, sit in a comfortable position in front of it and tune in with a ritual. Take a deep breath in through the nose and exhale completely. Continue slow natural breath as you start to do the gratitude check up. Think of all the things you are grateful for in your life and all the people you would like to say thank you. Thank your parents for giving you birth. Thank mother earth for the seasonal gifts. Thank yourself for making the most of your precious life. Smile to yourself and feel the wave of sincere gratitude filling your heart. Now you may take the paper and write down your accomplishments through this spring and summer. Equinox is a perfect moment to summarize your life for the past half year. Write down the key events happened to you, some big moves or just the most intense emotions you’ve experienced this year. Anything you’d like to highlight and be grateful about. Remember that even if something sad or misfortunate happens, it is our own choice to feel good or bad about it, and of course we encourage you to see it as a good sign a good lesson and accept it with gratitude. Take time to reflect on this idea and explore your own feelings about sadness, fears and regrets. Right now is a wonderful opportunity to let go of any emotions that suppress you. Let go of everything that does not serve you. Release all your regrets, remorse, release your fears. When your heart and mind are occupied with worries and fear, there is no room for happiness and love. So please meditate to clear up that space in your mind and heart to prepare for the new beautiful season in your life. Now that you’ve analyzed your recent hallmarks and released your worries, let’s write down your goals for the next half of the year. What are your current priorities? what would you like to achieve by next spring? Take time to meditate on this. All right dear, hope you’re feeling charged with this wonderful energy of renewal and fresh beginnings. What else shall we do on the day of equinox? Go out and connect with the nature. Take a walk in the forest if possible, a garden or elsewhere with trees. Pick up some mushrooms, berries, or fallen leaves. Ground your energy by lying on the grass or just sitting down for a bit. Watch the sun as it hits the equator and charge yourself with its powerful energy. Ideally try to greet both sunset and sunrise on the day of equinox. It will bring you especially powerful flow of energy for the upcoming season. We wish you a happy equinox and a beautiful autumn ahead, aligned with your heart, your dreams and your moon.
