Astrologer's Insight

Our skies are graced with a blue moon in Pisces, marking August’s second full moon. Such an event is a rarity, and because this blue moon is also a super moon, it’s already potent energy – and Pisces’ message – will be amplified tenfold.
When the moon is fully illuminated, it can bring something previously hidden to the surface. It can also realise a wish or an intention, typically one that was seeded during the new moon phase. Yet, when a month blesses us with two full moons, it offers another shot at actualising a dream, perhaps one that seemed just out of reach during the full moon in Aquarius on August 2. Pisces, the sign of dreams, creativity, love, and empathy, is the zodiac sign hosting this blue moon. So, how can you incorporate more Pisces themes into your life? Should you nurture that dream? Back your talents, or love someone (or yourself) that little bit harder? With Pisces spotlighted, navigating the path towards attaining your dreams might feel like trying to catch a fish with your bare hands – elusive and slippery. The more desperately you clutch, the more it’s likely to wriggle free. If this strikes a chord, perhaps it's time to relinquish control. To you, maybe that means finding forgiveness, surrender, or even giving up, trusting that the universe will catch your fall. Understand that sometimes, the truest form of power comes from simply letting go. On top of that, with almost every planet – bar Mars and Jupiter – in retrograde, emotional surges and deep introspection will peak this week. So, beneath the calm surface of your "I'm fine" smile, there might be a torrent of feelings, and possibly some confusion. While it's natural to not always want to voice your concerns, don't let them consume you in silence. Pisces’ lesson is all about embracing the strength and vulnerability, learning that sharing can often be the first step in healing. If you find this blue moon becomes too intense, lean into a Pisces water-sign remedy and draw a bath. Add a few drops of an essential oil that alleviates emotional overwhelm (my favourites are lavender, geranium and clary sage). It might also be helpful to reach out to a friend, pour your heart into a journal, and, above all, allow yourself to dream.
