End of Mercury Retrograde
If you’ve been waiting for a green flag to start a project or upgrade travel plans, the smoke clears once Mercury retrograde is over. (Although we recommend waiting a couple extra weeks, till September 11, for the retroshade to fully end.)
During Mercury Retrograde, we are encouraged to pause and embrace mindfulness before resuming our forward trajectory. As Mercury transitions from its retrograde phase, we too pivot by 180 degrees, gaining fresh insights and a renewed sense of direction. This period presents an opportunity to reflect, reassess, and ultimately advance with heightened awareness and purpose.
When we maintain a consistent pace without deviation, it's common to become complacent and overlook significant indicators vying for our attention. This experience can be likened to dozing off during a smooth, steady car ride at 50 mph. However, when we're compelled to apply the brakes and embark on a 200-mile detour in the opposite direction before rejoining the highway, we are jolted awake. Once the detour concludes, we become more vigilant in ensuring we're on the correct path and headed in the right direction.
Engage the psychopomp to eliminate what is metaphorically lifeless in your existence by decluttering to create space for new arrivals. Ponder which thresholds, whether literal or symbolic, beckon you to step into a novel realm. This is a period to glance back, reassess, reorganize, and reflect. By venturing inward, examining, listening, you could be abundantly rewarded with inner revelations that lay the groundwork for the upcoming phase.
While Mercury ended its retrograde phase in Leo, it may be that pride, willfulness, or over-dramatization could cause problems. Pecking order, power, and leadership were issues. Work was too easy to shirk, and fun beckons. The best way to handle it is outlets for your creativity, being with children or coaxing out your inner child.
1. We may become acutely sensitive to criticism while frequently criticizing others.
2. We might eagerly discuss a topic, oblivious to our conversation partner's boredom.
3. We might expect others to adapt to us, rather than the other way around.
4. We might unintentionally dominate others through our actions, believing this to be the correct approach.
5. We may prefer fixing an old gadget over studying the manual for a new one.
6. We often reminisce about the past with phrases like, 'But back then.'
The key is to be mindful of how our actions may be perceived by others and approach situations with a playful, cheerful attitude. This way, our behaviors will be seen as warm and caring, rather than critical and meticulous.
