Above all, tarot was the portal to my awakening to myself and my own soul’s journey. I didn’t find tarot, it found me, and very gently and persistently began to help me unravel the mysteries of my life and find myself and the source of everything at the center. Ever since I can remember, I have had a persistent nagging feeling that there was something deeper beneath the surface of my life. By the time I reached my 40’s, despite all outward evidence of success, my day to day life felt like groundhog day. I saw my life as a tedious list of tasks and responsibilities that left me exhausted and uninspired, punctuated by the morning alarm which signaled to do it all again. If I was honest with myself, I had begun to see my life as something to be endured. Is this all there is to life? Why does it seem to be enough for people? After a difficult childhood and painful divorce after 20 years of marriage, the life I found myself living seemed to me to be the best I could hope for. In 2020 I looked at my approaching 50th birthday with a sense of dread and defeat. It was during this time that tarot entered my life and began to give me the first tangible connection to the higher self that resides inside each and every one of us who is wise and loving and can offer guidance towards a life we have only dreamt about, but is actually always there for the taking. Despite the never ending ness of this journey, knowing there is no final destination to arrive at, my experience of life has been completely transformed. Tarot has been key to this process, always there for a gentle nudge when I fall off my path or a reminder of my gifts when I am discouraged, providing a signpost or inspiration. Opening yourself to a relationship with tarot can be a powerful tool to support your growth, healing, and evolution. For the past five years, tarot has served as a gentle and constant guide for my life and those I read for. The general public perceives tarot as mere fortune telling, a dubious way to predict the future, practiced by charlatans. In fact, it is a way to connect to your own higher self and spirit guides, and to assist you with your own soul’s evolution as we all make our way through this beautiful, heartbreaking, and magical human experience.
