Over 45 years ago, I began to journal as a small child, not knowing back then how it would greatly contribute to my life. Richly blessing me beyond what I knew. I've always been a writer by nature; it has always been something deep within me. Through the years, my journaling practice has evolved, reflecting my growth and changing perspectives. A pivotal moment came after a near-death experience in my 20's, which profoundly shifted my mindset, values and faith.
Cultivating self-awareness
Cultivating self-awareness begins with transformation and growth. As I grew, maturing at every age and stage, so did the subject matter of my journals. However, after a life-changing near-death experience I had in my 20's, my mindset, values, faith, beliefs, and character changed. Everything in my life changed, for the better, despite my setbacks. Journaling has been instrumental in helping me develop higher focus, clarity, balance, intuition, wisdom, discernment and awareness. Through this practice, I've gained a deeper understanding of myself, my values and my purpose.
Developing a Higher Mindset
During these transformative years I began to reflect upon what mattered and served purpose in my life and what no longer served purpose. I began to embark on what now has been 23 years and counting on a journey of a lifetime.
Learning To Say Yes And No
Learning the art and value of saying “yes” to things that truly matter and “no” to what doesn't. It's a trial and error process. Often, a lonely inner journey. Requiring one to embark solo for a while, traveling into isolated unknown depths, charting its course. It requires much self-discipline, focus, grounding and listening to God through different sources. Discernment is required.
There will be many voices in the wind, advising to go this way or that way. One must pay attention to their own intuition; even at that, one must proceed with caution. It is a long, bumpy road with many twists and turns. These are the learning lessons cut out, precisely chiseled, uniquely designed specifically for - YOU. They help guide you on your unique path in life.
We are created by unique design, with purpose, intent, and a mission. We are not here by chance or coincidence. Each of us has a unique plan, contributing to the whole of the universe, within and externally. Together, unified, we are whole. Whole on our own, as well as a unified body of connection, as one.
When we pause to reflect on this, it is humbling. It's humbling because it requires our attuned attention, stilling us into the stillness of silence, solitude and serenity. Shifting our focus on the synchronicities of how everything connects to everything in the great circle of life. We become consciously aware of our worth, our unique presence, our energy, vibe and frequency. This, is cultivating awareness.
1. Choose a sacred space
Find a quiet, comfortable spot where you can sit and reflect without distractions.
2. Select a journal that resonates
Choose a notebook, spiritual journal, or book of shadows journal that speaks to you, whether it's a traditional notebook, spiritual journal, or a book of shadows.
3. Set Intentions
Before you begin writing, take a moment to set your intentions. Pray over your journal and / or sage it. What do you hope to achieve through your journaling practice?
4. Be open-minded
Approach your journaling practice with an open mind and willingness to explore your thoughts, emotions and experiences.
1. Listen to your inner voice
Pay attention to your intuition and inner wisdom. What is speaking to your soul?
2. Be patient and kind
Treat yourself with kindness and compassion as you give yourself grace to navigate your journaling journey. You are a work in progress.
3. Trust the process
Have faith in the process.
Trusting your journaling experience will guide you towards greater self-awareness and understanding. You are exactly where you need to be, which is in this moment: here and now. In the present moment of now. How you grow spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally and soulfully. Listen to God's wisdom and discernment in the ways that speak to you.
Mindful meditation journaling is a powerful tool for personal growth and self-discovery. By incorporating this practice into your daily routine, you'll be able to tap into your inner wisdom and the higher wisdom God gives you. You'll cultivate self-awareness and navigate life's challenges with greater ease and clarity. Remember to approach your journaling practice with an open mind, patience and kindness.
Blessings on your journey.
May inner peace be yours and bless you richly in each new day.
Sincerely,
Lynlei
